Some of the teachers give out to much homework but most of them are nice and the education is a good

The children are given the opportunity for a quality education. Unfortunately, some of them do not live out the Godly principles being taught. There is some group bullying behavior that needs to be addressed.

My school for my 4 daughters is Chico Christian School 'CCS.' Chico Christian is a parents dream for our children to recive the whole package; a top education, spiritual guidance, physical & creative courses all while in a loving & safe environment.Their loving staff & teachers focus on your child's individual needs all while reinforcing the manners that a parent teaches their child as a toddler. The electives programs, allows the kids to expand their creative borders, whether it is an exercise course, cooking, art or drama, the limits are only to heavens gates. My family is so lucky to have the amazing experiences that CCS delivers. Our memories began at Chico Christian Preschool over 13 years ago. We've continued though CCS elementary and now have started into CCMiddle school. It has been an INCREDIBLE Journey. The family bonding of the annual Father Daughter Dance, Christmas Programs, drama productions and even the first&last day of school celebrations (just to name a few) assist in bringing our family closer and stronger and more well ended. We are grateful & indebted to the CCS staff & family for helping mold our daughters into the ladies that we have dreamed they would be.

My two middle school children loved this school. They made so many friends and were treated with respect and love by the teachers, staff and especially the principal. The beginning of the year middle school camp was amazing! Great way to bond the students.

My child learned so much this year at CCS. The staff truly cares about each kid! They are very dedicated to meeting the needs of the students. CCS is a wonderful, positive learning environment that in my opinion, exceeds academic standards of public schools. Children learn best when they feel safe and loved

The experience my children had at Chico Christian provided them with a family oriented learning environment. But unfortunately, academically they struggle to keep within the standards of California. This coming up registration is suffering and is the lowest it has been. Maybe new leadership (principal) should step in to grow the school what it should be.

Our daughter has been at CCS from K-7. We are so sad that next year will be her last one there. The education she has been provided has been phenomenal. She has learned how to think on her own. She has learned to take ownership of her responsibilities. The staff has helped us raise our child with a solid moral foundation and a very positive Christian experience. The principal is amazing. She knows all of the children by name from the beginning. We get calls from her and also notes from teachers in the summer just to check in with us. There is so much love and encouragement there. The younger kids have big buddies. Older mentors which is great. Sometimes coming in the parking lot to pick up my daughter, I see the older kids playing with the little ones. Its all been so inspiring.

My daughter is in Kindergarten at CCS. I just love this school as well as the after school program. The teachers are caring and it's a very nurturing environment. Equally important is the academic standards are high. I couldn't be happier with CCS!

I LOVE Chico Christian School! This is a great school for my two daughters. The teachers are professional and helpful and open to your feedback. Any time there was ever an issue at school, it was resolved immediately and appropriately. The principal leads with wisdom and insight, and gets to know each child on a personal level. She has helped me deal with some challenging behavioral issues with one of my daughters, and her help has made a big impact on my daughter. We went to a similar Christian School in another state before moving to Chico; so we have experience with two different Christian schools. Chico Christian is the BEST school by far - I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality education!

I am excited that my children get to be a part of the Chico Christian Family. The teachers have worked with me and my husband to find ways to best help each of my children succeed in education and in life. During the primary grades, the teachers have taken the time to nurture my children and help them build a strong educational, emotional and spiritual foundation. The bible curriculum is phenomenal; my children love learning about Jesus. Middle School has been formative for my son. The teachers have made learning fun. He in THRIVING spiritually and developmentally. I am impressed by the way he has been taught to problem solve and work together with friends. I adore the middle school Chaplin and the time he invests in my son. I am glad to know that the school is up to date on its safety and security plans and I know that the teachers protect my children as if they were their own. I am pleased that the school is mostly made up of new buildings and that it strives to use safe healthy products. I could go on and on about after school programs, electives, athletics and assemblies. I highly recommend Chico Christian School!

Chico Christian has been a wonderful school for our 2 children. They have attended the school since their early years of Preschool. The staff is extremely dedicated and loving. My children are being well prepared academically but also being prepared for life. They are encouraged to use their gifts and are guided on how to develop their character traits: work with each other, accept differences, serve one another. The music, art, technology and PE programs are outstanding. In addition, they have a great variety of electives: drama, ceramics, chess, cross fit, basketball, just to name a few. The level of parent involvement is very high and the class size is an average of 20 children. The facilities have been updated - they have a brand new gym, new library, new Middle School classes, new Science lab and state of the art technology equipment. Our children will stay at Chico Christian till 8th grade. We highly recommend this school!

We originally chose Chico Christian School for 2 reasons: Bible was part of the curriculum, and they offered drama classes. What we received was so much more! We immediately fell in love with the staff who understand how to partner with families -- teachers are credentialed, professional, well-versed in State Standards, loving, responsive, excellent. The principal is absolutely amazing! She knows & loves each student in her school. All children and parents alike love her. The technology, music, art, cooking, spanish, drama, sports, and other elective classes opened up a whole new variety of interests for our kids. Father/Daughter Dances, Mother/Son Events, Grandparents Day all help to build family relationships & community. But we also really appreciate their focus on growing the whole child. Our children have benefitted not only academically but also in character, service and leadership training. When our kids graduated from 8th grade, it was immediately obvious to us that the public high school knew CCS produces top notch students in every way.

As a public school teacher, I never thought I would send my children to a private school. I am so glad we did!!! Our oldest daughter went to Chico Christian Preschool, so we thought we would go to the Kindergaten information night. We fell in love with the school. We now have 3 girls at the school (7th, 4th, & 2nd grades) and our son will start preschool there next year. Not only have we been thrilled with the level of education, but the extra specialized bonuses (art, drama, music, technology, P.E., & more) that are hard to get in public schools, have exceeded all of our expectations. Besides all of the wonderful curriculum, the staff at Chico Christian School holds a special place in our hearts. We can't think of a better place to entrust our children!!!

We are the parents of two adult children that attended Chico Christian School 1974 to 1982. Often we have been told what wonderful sons we have, that they show common sense, are caring, intelligent (college graduates), and are successful adults now. How did we do it? - Our stock answer was and is "that the Lord lead us to Chico Christian School." Now our two granddaughters attend Chico Christian School. What better recommendation could there be than a former student enrolling his own children! What a blessing to see the continued nurturing, the continued complete and caring teaching, the continued personal touch, but most of all, the continued beauty of Proverbs 22:6 - "Train up a child the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Not only do we have the security of knowing that our granddaughters will have the tools needed to deal with life, they will also have the education to persevere in life. How very fortunate we are to have such a gifted staff to teach and lead our most precious gift - our children and grandchildren. It has been wonderful to see the school grow and flourish.....and flourish it has. The reason? It does things right!

I have a daughter in kindergarden at chico christian school. We all love this school. Not all kindergardens are created equally...I know my daughter can get great academics in other schools as well. But what sets this apart are all the other things...spanish, PE, talent shows, field trips, grandparent and parent involvement, amazing after school program...and character development! She is learning self-confidence, compassion, teamwork, love, acceptance, helping each other and so many more qualities that we try to teach at home. The teachers and principal genuinely LOVE the students. They know them well. The children love each other, they greet with huge hugs! I love this place for the help we are getting in creating a warm, compassionate, involved, honest and confident child. BTW, the prinicpal is absolutely wonderful.

Excellent staff, Intelligent and thoughtful teachers, wise leadership and quality families....My husband and I could not be more thrilled to have our two girls at Chico Christian! Their safety, education and being in a nurturing environment are of utmost importance to us. The teachers exude Christ's love! Class sizes are small, electives are abundant, facilities are new and improving, playgrounds and gym are top notch, teachers are engaging and love abounds. We are grateful to entrust our children to the care of our friends at Chico Christian.

I have a 16YO who attended Chico Christian, and currently an 8YO attending there. I am so thankful for the strong values that Chico Christian helped instill in my 16YO! Those values last well beyond attendance there, and have helped my 16YO face the normal challenges of high school. Loving, caring environement, caring enthusiastic teachers, outstanding principal. Top notch school. So thankful to have it!

I could not be happier with Chico Christian School. My daughter started attending Chico Christian Preschool the day she turned 2. We were so impressed with the staff and the education she was getting that we decided to continue her at the school. She is now in 2nd grade and I can say that I have been thankful every day for my choice. While public schools are cutting electives, CCS is always adding new ones. The teachers and the principal are remarkable. They are all warm, approachable, and truly care for the students and their families. I am impressed regularly with the service projects available to the students. My daughter only benefits from the joy of helping others. We are not a very religious family, and even though it is a Christian school, I do not feel that it is forced upon us. Yes it is part of the curriculum, but they present it in a way that is accepting instead of judging. Not once have I felt l uncomfortable with what was being taught, nor have I felt like we were judged for not going to church. I would highly recommend CCS!

My son has been attending CCS since second grade and he will be going into 7th this year. When I was researching different schools, I was most impressed with CCS's electives. Their technology class is top knotch. What the kids end up knowing by the time they leave CCS will blow your mind! Not to mention all the other electives, on top of the EXCELLENT curriculum they provide. The teachers are loving and truly care. The class sizes are small (avg 20 students). Due to all the California cutbacks as well as a million other reasons, there is no way I would consider putting my child anywhere else than CCS.
