My autistic 5 year old was being physically handled by a teacher and his staff; we continuously questioned the principal about his qualifications while seeing the signs of an unstructured environment for an ESN classroom. The admin staff was oblivious to our child's safety, the school psychologist documented one of the incidents when our child was being blatantly neglected and physically handle in multiple situations. The unprofessional behavior of these individuals didn't bother to notify us of what was going on, despite our constant questions of why our child behaviors were regressing so badly in this new environment. I had to read about our greatest fears in an IEP two weeks later.

We have had only positive experiences at Sierra View with other parents, students and teachers. We feel so fortunate to be part of this school.

Disgusting, sick, group of individuals that hide important information from parents. I feel sorry for everyone zoned for this school.

I have two kids going to Sierra View. We have had an great experience with the school. If I had a concern about something its easy to talk to the teachers and staff. I feel that they always are willing to do there best to address the issues and resolve it. With any school the more your active with your children education the better the experience.

I had nothing but an awesome experience with my children here. Both my children can be sensitive but they have never had any issues with bullying. My kid's love their school and the teachers are amazing at communicating with me about any concerns. My daughter's teacher even helped with my daughter's reading level. Not only is she a much better reader but now she loves to read.

Horrible. This school did not provide a good education and treated the students badly.

We thought it was going to be a good school. The teachers were for the most part very good. The principal’s lack of empathy and concern for students is the problem. And to agree with another comment made on this site, yes the principal is very condescending and many of the parents are “stuck up.” It is really sad

Instead of ensuring the safety of our son we had to take drastic measures and move him to a new school in order to feel like he is in a safe environment. The principle failed our family and more importantly our son.

Sierra view is an excellent school. The staff is fantastic. The parking is less than desirable.

We've been a Sierra View family for the last 10 year and we still have many years left with our children attending this school. We've been blessed to have had great teachers, great experiences, great communication and out kiddos feel safe and happy while at school. Other than the horrible parking lot, we are extremely happy with Sierra View.

Sierra View has changed over the years. I know class size is not the teachers' fault, however, it is an overall issue that needs to be dealt with. The children who can work independently and do not require much assistance thrive at Sierra View. I am saddened to say, however, that the bottom half are or will be soon slipping through the cracks. We had the same teachers for our youngest child, two years in a row, that my oldest had some years ago. The curriculum has changed, the teachers were over whelmed, and the overall support system has decreased. Sure there is parent involvement, but a decreased amount of it as the years go by. The Eagle Nest store has been shut down numerous occasions because lack of volunteers. There is one to two yard duties who appear completely stressed out, and episodes of some older children fighting on the playground. The PTA's presence is not what it used to be when we first began our journey at Sierra View. As a very involved family I have been saddened by the changes that have taken place. As the older generation of teachers and staff are retiring, I worry for the future of Sierra View. It is not what it used to be.
