I came here for 6th and in 8th currently (didn't go here for 7th) 6th grade was literal torture for me, i would get teased every 2 seconds and only my ela teacher cared about it, I even got hit in the head with a book by a classmate and when I finally bursted into tears they said it wasn't a problem and to just get along with them, I mean how am I going to do that when they clearly don't like me. Most kids hear are pretty loud, it makes the days kinda exciting to be honest but at times they just cross the line. Now in 8th it's been good, the teachers are pretty okay at getting you engaged it still sucks considering they kinda don't seem to care much still. Who knows how this school will end up.

My daughter is new to this school. My son attended there also about 6 years ago. I can see a great change in the overall environment of the school and it is definately for the better! The resources that are available to these children extends further than my expectations. The principal has taken a stand to boost standardized test scores and the faculty seems to be behind his effort. My daughter seems to enjoy the school although she has had to adjust to the behavior of some of her new classmates. There is still diciplanary issues from students from other parts of town which must be addressed but with the demographic make up of this school it is to be expected. The administration has a zero tolerance policy.
