My daughter has been a student at St.Nicholas school for 6 years. We would not take her anywhere else. This school teaches each child individually. She is so much more advanced educationally and socially then other children her age that do not attend St. Nicholas. She has learned to be independent, and accountable. We would highly recommend this school for your child. You will never regret it.

Great teachers and great friends to be within kids' long lifetime.. Not only the school environment but also the teacher's respectful personality. So sincere and friendly. I feel so blessed that I was able to be part of the St. Nicholas family.

We have been thrilled with St. Nicholas! Our son is thriving in small classes with caring and knowledgeable teachers. We love the well-rounded curriculum: he has technology, Spanish, music, studio art AND art history, and gardening each week. The daily chapel services have messages about inclusion, the Golden Rule, empathy and belonging to a diverse global community. The academics are strong and students are taught from preK to become responsible and independent learners. Our son loves going to school and we couldn't ask for a better environment for him to learn and grow.

I can’t speak highly enough of our experience and how it prepared my children, I have a 9th grader and 6th grace who both graduated St. Nicholas and have gone on to McCallie and GPS and were so well prepared, they have been leaders among their peers and excelled academically and as parents we have not had to do anything other than get them to school. I wanted a primary school that would teach my kids to be independent learners and self motivated students, and nurture their desire to be altruistic, respectful and inclusive to others, St. Nicholas did all of that and more.

It was amazing. Now my child has graduated this past year. I miss the interaction of staff and leadership . I also miss the warmness and friendly staff . All my experiences with St.Nicks and my grandson experiences will be remembered for life. The politeness, manners and structure of school will be rembered.

St. Nicholas is the most inclusive, family-oriented school there is. The love of learning permeates the program and the love and acceptance of each other is encouraged and expected on every level.

I too was very surprised to read the negative comments posted January 30th. I found it even more surprising to hear these things being said because the reasons the parent cited for leaving St. Nicholas were precisely the reasons we left a public school and became St. Nicholas parents. My daughter's Kindergarten teacher at a public school did not know my child, did not know that she was already reading, and had no interest in really finding out. I am so glad we switched to St. Nicholas precisely because the teachers know my child and they communicate with me clearly and regularly. Teachers do not assign letter grades: all assessment is based on the skills that the students are working on. I know what my children are studying and what they need to work on. I learn about this at the once a month parent-teacher conferences that are scheduled into the school calendar. In addition, as the February 23rd 2010 post stated, I have a very detailed and very long written evaluation that I receive twice a year. Two of my children have graduated from St. Nicholas, one is a current student. The teachers at St. Nicholas have helped all my children truly realize their potential.
