I think Capri is a great school which is very diverse and student centric. Teachers are excellent, some even phenomenal. All staff is doing their best to ensure kids are learning and enjoying life. I feel it's the perfect mixture of academics and being a kid, without too much pressure. Principal, assistant principal and office staff are all very approachable and invested in their work. Campbell Union school district has a profile of a graduate goal for students, which strives for self-directed learners. The school engages older students with a lot of different volunteering and leadership options, which provide a great opportunity for personal growth. I wouldn't be scared of the overall grade this school gets at this service, if you look at the results a bit more in detail it is clear that students from low income families are getting lower scores and this service changed the algorithm a couple of years back to give more weight to that. Some other schools in the area do not have many low income students, which gives those schools the advantage in the results. Teachers are also great at engaging students in their level, which means that advanced students are challenged more and those who are behind are getting some help from aides etc. There was also a review saying students are behind a year and school does not do any testing. That is not correct. I am sorry if someone had a bad experience, but at least it does not reflect the current situation. District has an app with real time grade information of all tests they do and they are constantly monitoring the progress. It is also possible to be in contact with the teacher through an app, if there are any issues. Teachers in 3rd grade are currently very much making sure kids are super fluent and fast with multiplication and division.

This is our first year in Capri . We were very worried about ranking and such earlier but in our wonderful experience this year at TK , we can see Capri is one of the best schools around. The teachers are kind committed and so talented. Our kid loves his school and teachers and class friends and the parents have formed a wonderful community. The office staff is always resonsive and quick as well. We are glad that with volunteer oppourtunities like project cornerstone , fall festival , multicultural festival , walkathon , field trips , we are welcomed and feel like we are part of the school. We love after care so much that we dont want to come back home. We love all the school events and activities .Sincere thanks to all teachers and staff.

Capri has been such a great place for my boys. We came from a 10/10 rated school and it was a awful experience. My 4 th grader has had so much support from the Principal Mr. Brown and all of his teachers. He went from having behavioral issues to winning awards. I’m so pleased on how much this school has supported us. The teachers at Capri have built his confidence back!!! We haven’t experienced any issues with bullying. Mr. Brown is on top of it and it seems to get handled quickly!!! Thank you Capri

The students are behind one year. My child is in the 4th grade and we never told by his 3rd grade teacher that he should have mastered multiplication in the third grade. There were no tests or homework in 3rd grade and we trusted the teacher that he was doing ok because she never said other wise. Even my child came and said he learned so much in second grade because he had an excellent teacher that year and noticed he wasn't learning anything in third grade. We tried to for private school for fourth but he tested a year behind all the other kids and he is a year behind his cousin who is also in fourth grade but goes to a different school. We really regret not putting him in a different school when he started but we are strong believers in public education. There is a large teacher turn over at this school and the aftercare program does not reinforce what the students learn during the school day. If you can send your child to a different school do it. They don't give homework and don't allow schoolwork home to study for tests.

Both of my children have thrived here and felt supported. They looked forward to going to school. They use a lot of technology and advanced skills: in 3rd grade my son was using PDF's to create reports on climate, he made videos on green screen about robots he made in class all uploaded to a parent portal. Totally awesome.

Overall excellent. The best part is the diversity of the school. This sets students to be world citizens. Teachers are excellent.Facilities: One can argue they don't have a place for performance - a stage or something. I will suggest that budget committee put this in their budget.

We came from a blue ribbon school, 10/10 on here to Capri. I cannot tell you what a GREAT move it was!!! They are wonderful, reminiscent of my childhood. They welcomed us, supported us and communicate SO well to help us all settle in. My children have never settled into being themselves more than they have here. They acknowledge the different ways children are intelligent and gently show where your child needs more support, without making the child feel anything less than wonderful. They play on their strengths. The parents have been wonderful, in just a short period of time and the front office are the nicest, warmest ladies. Best thing we ever did for our family.

Capri is a great school with wonderful teacher who interact so well with their students! Last year however their was a change in the administration that has had a huge negative impact on the school. The principal, Mrs. Ready seems friendly and is always friendly to kids and parents. The Assistant PrincipL, Ted Cribari thinks to highly of himself and his importance to the school. He is always rushing around and most often when he is outside he is talking on his cell phone. He does not want to deal with kids if they are having a bad day and I have had him personally tell me that he is to busy to deal with it. Their is no communication between the two adminstrators and things don't seem to flow well. Warning if you have to deal with the AP, he will say yes i understand and let's try it but he has 0 follow through. Hopefully they get a new AP before he ruins the school and continues to scare the kids with his threats.

Wonderful. This is our 4th year at Capri. It is a hidden gem in Campbell. Capri teaches the kids to be respectful, responsible, and safe. My kids love going to school every day. The new Principal, Mrs. Ready, is always at the playground during recess.

Our older son attended Capri from 1st grade. He is now in 5th grade and it went pretty smoothly. He had a few bad days, but for the vast majority of the time he was looking forward to being at school every single morning.
