Hello, I'm currently an 11th grader here at WP in the year of our lord and savior: 2024, and overall-while I do admit there are certainly problems-my experience here have been overall positive. For me, the best part of the school is the general atmosphere and sense of community. There are plenty of students and staff who seem to genuinely care about the school and the people within it. Of course, there are many students who don't care or don't put in the effort necessary to do the work, however, there are just as many, if not more who are kind; caring, and want to help others. The school makes a point to encourage students who are doing well to help other both in the community, be it through students ambassadors, the ship awards, volunteer club, college vanguard, and so much more. In terms of work load, I wouldn't say that the work is ever overbearing to the point of absurdity, more so, it can pile up quickly if you allow it, especially if you're taking multiple AP classes such as myself. There have been points when it became a bit much, however, if you manage your time well, and depending on the class and if you ask for help from those around you, the work can go by quickly. That is to say: the main question isn't how much work there is (generally speaking) but moreso how well you can keep up and manage the work you are given. The school also offers a variety of programs for any student willing to participate, being partnered with Global Glimpse, SEO, College Now, The National Honor Society, and more. Furthermore, the school is very focused on preparing you for college, with plenty of AP-Classes, programs, study groups, trips, and a college councilor who'll assist you through the entire college application process. the school-at least currently-even pays for all, or at least most of the expenses for applying to colleges, a rarity for other schools. Overall, it all comes back to the community. The school heavily encourages you to do more and ask for things, it's rather easy to make clubs, become a TA, or ask for new courses, including AP classes. All that's nof even to mention the sports teams and other related fields. To all future WP students and parents, my biggest recommendation would be to do more than is necessary if possible, because there are plenty of great opportunities for you if you don't, regardless of race, sex, gender, political views, disabilities, or any other differentiating characteristics. With that said, good luck and thank you.

i am a parent of a sophmore student. Williamsburg prep turned out to be a good choice for him. since it is a smaller school it allows for a personal parent- teacher -student relationship. having access to jupiter grades is fantastic and the teachers/guidance counselor/asst principal and front desk all reply to my concerns and questions with respect. the school offers several afterschhol clubs, programs like ymca which we have used. the teachers also offer sat prep which is greatly needed and appreciated. the school does have metal detectors installed from previous years but i see it as a help not a deterrence. i do not attend the pta meetings but they are regularly held. i do meet for each parent teacher conference and the teachers are quite open, receptive and encouraging.the only downside i can think of is that my son does not come home with enough hw! luckily, through the school, he is part of another acedemic program that allows him to further flex his acedemic skills.

While I feel the teachers in this school are rather well educated and care rather dearly about their job, it should be noted that they are faced with a rather limiting challenge. Due to the fact that the majority of student in this school do not care enough for the teachers really to do the job to the best of their abilities or receive the resources that would help them the academic standards of this school are really quite pitiful. Personally I managed to maintain a 93+ average without having to do all too much. As long as I showed up payed attention for the majority of the class and did 90% of my homework assignments I was fine. There were never any late night study sessions with friends or cramming before the day of an exam, it was always rather laid back. All in all if your a parent looking at schools for your child, this would only be a reasonable choice if you know they are willing to actually put in the hours while at the school and show the teachers respect so that they're learnig experiencewould actually be worth the time.

Honestly i haven't been in this school for very long because I recently change here but it isn't the best school . This school has good courses but you have to search for the opportunities instead of teachers offering them to you and if they do its to their favorites. There isn't enough guidance for the teens expect if your Constantly in trouble but the good students that may need help or advice don't have a certain person to go to and this isn't right Because these are teenagers that need helping actually doing good in school and in their personal life .There isn't enough programs for kids to involve in yourself in . Every one only cares about themselves and there isn't enough teachers that actually understand your situation Academically its good but Eveything else is not good

I'm a junior now in high school and i love everything about it. The teachers are very helpful and there great to hang out with during lunch. They are there if you are struggling with any subject in class. I really love this school

I am a previous student at williamsburg prep, the school isn't so bad. Not much can be said about the faculty and staff, most don't want to bother with the kids in the school and dont care much. Fights are always breaking out but that is between the other schools within the building. The teachers arent recieving the supplies they need or support. Overall the school isn't all that bad, educational wise.
