My son has had a wonderful education experience at Peter Rouget MS88 (Smart House). This middle school is a very positive and welcoming learning environment. The entire staff (principal, admin, parent-teacher, teachers) are all very passionate about seeing their students succeed. The academics and curriculum are strong and balanced. My son will be graduating 8th grade with confidence and the tools to succeed. We feel very fortunate to have found this school and we highly recommend MS88. Kerri Helliwell (Ian Bernstein).

We have a 6th grader in SMART house and he has been extremely happy at this school. We initially had some reservations based on the size of the school and some of the online reviews, but I'm happy to report that MS 88 has FAR exceeded our expectations. The teachers are smart and committed, and our son has formed a strong supportive friend group. Most importantly, he loves the school and feels like he's being challenged. My sense is that this school has improved quite a bit over the past 2-3 years, and that the negative experiences that some students have reported are much less of an issue than they used to be.

(Please disregard the message thats the same as mine, I wanted to put me as a current student) I'm an 8th grader at this school, and ms88 sn't the best in my opinion. First, they changed the grading system. The grading system is not good. It scales you from a 1-5 scale, instead of 0-100. This leads to teachers grading you lower to fit the spectrum. Second, they give regents to all 8th graders, even those who don't pay attention. Some students don't even want regents, don't care, and simply don't pay attention. They should make it your own personal choice. Third, the school doesn't have a good environment around it. Kids as young as 11 have to experience 13 and 14-year-olds who influence them to make bad choices in life. Also, some teachers don't seem to care, they give you work, and that's that. Honestly, this school sickens me so much I would never be able to put this in words. It has good education, but the environment isnt.

It's horrible. I got bullied and the teachers didn't care. Most students were annoying and disrespectful. The deans are really loud and mean. I wouldn't recommend going here.

I am a seventh Grader in this school and this is by far the best middle school ever i would tell everyone i know to go to this school, teachers want you to do your best and you could join clubs. For example they have the drama clubs and math clubs an much more. Also in science class i am going to open up a frogs body to discover the organisms of the frogs. In social class we are talking about the Revelation war, in Math class we are learning about expressions and where to graph them on a number line. Finally in ELA we are learning about poems and are making our own poem.

I am a 7th grader at MS88, I think this is a great school because it has many awesome programs, including Basecamp, Billion Oyster project. Students get to know places around them and do a lot of fun thing with them.

This is our first year at MS88. At first, we were a little apprehensive about the jump to middle school but out experience at MS88 has been across the board positive. From the engaged teaching staff, to the responsive administration we only have good things to say. Now instead of getting "lunch" as a response to "what was the best part of the day?" we get "math!". We're very happy to be here.A Parent of a 6th grader in SMART house

My daughter is a 7th Grader at MS 88. Overall, administration and faculty members are very responsive to parents. My daughter has always been shy. I was afraid that MS 88 would not be a good fit for her, but it is. Her performance is better in Middle School compared to elementary school. I recommend MS 88 to parents and students.

My daughter attends MS 88. She's currently a 7th Grader in the Medical house. It is a really good school. Administration and faculty are very responsive to parents. All in all, my daughter is having a great middle school experience. She is doing better in middle school than she did in elementary. I recommend this school.
