The teachers care! They do not tolerate bullying and every kid is treated the same. Quick to notify me of any issue.

My son was here first year vpk. went home in peed pants no explanation why he peed his pants or no call was made home to pick him up. He has a speech problem which the principle accepted and said he can still go there. Got a call 09/11 that they cant take him there anymore because he has a IEP. They didn't even explain how I go forward on getting him into a new school. worst school ever bad experience for a first kid going to school.

My daughter likes it here, she has a lot of friends and enjoys going to school. She's gotten outstanding grades in every class. I think the only thing the school itself could improve on is communication. There has been a BIG improvement in keeping parents informed due to COVID-19, but prior to that, I had to call the school for information or was given very limited details about things happening at the school. Most of the time, arrangements at the school are made last-minute, so I think better planning for school events and more advance notice for those who need to make schedule requests would help a lot. I have no doubt the teachers at Manatee Charter love their jobs and have a passion for working with and educating children.

Doing so much better! Teachers and admin are working hard to turn this school around and keep it going in the right direction.

Terrible. Withdrew both my children after two months. I thought they had their charter revoked this year. They are extremely disorganized. It truly was a hot mess there.

My grandchildren attend the school. Their grades have improved at least two grade levels since they have started there (from C's to A's) Their staff is attentive and very inspiring to the children. My grandchildren actually look forward to going to school.

As an educator since 1993, I have worked at public and private schools in 4 different states. I can honestly say that I LOVE working here and if my children were still of the age to attend here I would have no hesitation. This school provides more opportunity for student growth. After school tutoring is free. Teachers work extra time to ensure the lessons meet standards. The students in the lower grades are excited to be here and everyday I smile as I see them smile.

My children have shown 120% growth. The faculty care about each student and take the time to learn about each so they can be served to meet their individual needs! The school providrs free lunch and breakfadt to 100% of students. They also have very affordable before and after care. Technology is used all tne time in everyroom. Thete are student laptops in each classroom, 2 new computer labs with qualified teachers. One is teaching tnem excel in K and coding by 1st. They have many online educational programs they have purchased for children to access at school and home. My children's reading and math scores have improved and they have fin learning on the computer. Teachers tutor the students free of cost to the parents. There is a middle school program preparing them for high school and life. Grades2-8 are tutored 4 days a week plus all breaks, including Christmas and Spring break. The students are recognized daily fir theit accomplishments even if they are recognized for a positive attitude or holding a door. A member if tbe admin team will announce the names on the i tercom tnen deliver tbem to the students.Admin will come and take the time to talk with a student about why they are acting out and hell fix the problem so they can stay at school and learn. As soon as you enter tbe building it is clear that the people inside that school are the most valued parts of the school. My autistic child never participated until his teachere here helled him safely get to participate. For the first time ever he LOVES school. I love that thr kids always see admin walking and smiling in the halls and cafeteria. Admin walk through classrooms constantly and I feel better they are there to offer advice to teachers without making them feel bad. I've never seen a school where the kids keep smiling and working when admin enters. They are used to the support. I LOVE THAT!!! More than anything- I love knowing my kids are excited about school annd they feel loved and comfortable at all times. The students know they will be listened to and given fairchance to talk. They also have many team sports, after school programs, pisitive reinforcement, and every faculty member is involved. They kids run to hug tbe janitors. This school is one big family whete everyone is safe, loved, valued, and respected. The staff is there with their passion in tbeir actions. I couldn't be happier!!

Hello,I have worked at many schools, and I came into Manatee Charter School not know what to expect. I was welcomed and overwhelmed with all of the interventionist resources, technology, personal learning plans and commitment of the teachers and the administrative staff. There is three people working for every single child in this school. I have unlimited resources to help every child in my class grow. The technology and programs alone that are offered make all the difference. Any child who seems to be falling behind gets put into a plan to help them succeed through learning programs such as Lexia, tutoring (which is available everyday of the week, spring break, winter break, summer, after school hours and on weekends), as well as interventionist who are specially trained to help every child. We teach the children individually, based on their level of knowledge and growth. If the students do not understand a standard, we keep teaching them until they get it. We teach until children master what they need to know, while also keeping the children who are excelling stimulated. We have differentiated learning, for children who are approaching their grade level skills, for those who are on grade level, and those who are beyond grade level. I create three different center based lessons, use hands on learning and integrate technology because that is the future. For the parents who have had unpleasant experiences, I apologize and sympathize with your situation. However, we are working hard as a school to create a safe, thriving and happy learning environment for children K-8th. It takes a village to raise a child, and in my own personal opinion we have one of the best villages available. Sincerely, A Manatee Charter School Kindergarten Teacher

This is the WORST!!! school you can go. The education is poor, teachers don't care about the progress of the kids, you will never know if kids are learning or having problems with the process. There your child can be easily bullied in front of the teachers with NO reaction from them. Have meetings with teachers or principal is a waste of time, they will tell you what you need to listen, no more than that. Classmates stole a phone from my daughter's bag and when I spoke with the Principal Deborah Tracy, she call me back to tell me the mother of the girl returned the phone to the school but nobody in there knows where is the phone....????. Till this moment I'm waiting to know where is the device. Can this be a good reference of the people working there? Last February 16th , my daughter was a bullying victim again in the PE class, she was pushed, kicked, and insulted in the middle of a circle that her classmates did around her. The teacher was looking but he just send her to the office to have ice in her leg, nobody did anything else or calling me or the other parents. I didn't send her back to school because I feel she is not safe there. Almost a week later, nobody from school have been calling me to know if she is OK or coming back to the school. That's what you have at that school. This school is part of the CHARTER SCHOOLS USA, this should be a good place to go, but don't trust in any place just because belongs to this name, the difference between the schools is huge. This institution must to have more attention in the places using their name and logos, this school is not the best example of a good school at all.

Great School with excellent academics. The extracurricular activities are wonderful. They have music, drama, and foreign language which is great for my middle school son.

Parents complain so much about this school. However, some of the parents are part of the problem. They are so rude and think that they can do whatever they want. I say some not all.... I sit and wait in the front office at the end of the day, and I have overheard tons of parents cursing the front office staff out and administration and all they do is smile back. Crazy!!! I commend the front office staff and administration.... I wouldn't want their jobs!!! they are easy targets to blame.... I'm partly responsible for my child's.... learning... Sincerely, Concerned Parent

My children have attended this school for two years now. It is a wonderful school and the staff is VERY caring. My only complaints to date are that there are no bus services and their gifted services are lacking, but on par for Manatee county. Aside from those, my family has had a wonderful experience.
