The school fails to provide adequate support for students who need extra help. The large class sizes make it difficult for teachers to give individualized attention, and the staff is unresponsive when concerns are raised. We’ve had to follow up repeatedly just to get basic support, and even then, there’s little accountability.

The communication from the school administration is severely lacking. Important updates and information are often delayed or not communicated at all. There have been numerous instances where I had to find out about significant events or changes through other parents rather than through official channels. This lack of communication has made it incredibly difficult to stay informed and involved in my daughter's education.One of the most concerning issues is the lack of support from the teachers. My daughter has struggled in several subjects, and despite reaching out for help, the response from her teachers has been dismissive. They seem uninterested in providing the extra assistance she needs to succeed. The lack of proactive communication from teachers about my child's progress is also troubling. Regular updates and constructive feedback are essential, but they are noticeably absent.

Amazing school. Wonderful teacher, staff and fantastic principal. The school is fully equipped, safe and a pleasant place to be. My son made more progress in one year than 4 years in NY school. Special education is fantastic as well.

A+. Freedom is a hiddden gem in East manatee county. Public education lettered grade scores DO NOT represent The school nor the people who make up the school. There is a strong sense of belonging, deep drove of education and a love for learning exhibited throughout this school. I highly recommend taking a tour any Friday morning at 8am and decide for yourself.

Wonderful school with an outstanding staff! Our child attended a popular Sarasota school with high ratings prior to Freedom and we were utterly disappointed. Glad we made the move to Freedom Elementary!

This school has amazing teachers and wonderful administrative staff. Freedom really keeps the family involved and the PTO does a great job of keeping the school year fun and interesting. I loved this school and would recommend it to anyone in the area. Nothing bad to say.

I have never seen such love & support from a a school like a see in this one. The teachers are amazing. The principal & vice principal is very hands on with the students & really take the time to listen. This school is a 10 in my book!!!

Our daughter attends Kindergarden at Freedom and is thriving, learning to read and write and making great friends. I was surprised to see the rating as a 6, but I don't feel that is reflective of the true academic and developmental experience for the students. My daughter tells me stories and relays information as best as she can at her age, and everything I've heard is how I want my child to be taught. The teachers, guidance counselor and principal are all great. I am sad to move my daughter out of the school because we are relocating out of state for work. Hopefully we will land in a great spot that has a wonderful school like Freedom.

We have a 4th grader at Freedom, she has been here since K. We have loved all of her teachers and we love Freedom! The teachers go the extra mile for the students. Principal Jim Mennes has been a great addition to Freedom and we are very pleased with his leadership. Would recommend Freedom to anyone in the area!

Excellent school, with dedicated teachers and staff. Parental involvement had gone down a little in the last year or two, but still so much more than most schools get. The kids are the priority here.
