I am a grandparent who visits regularly, often on Fridays when you can attend for lunch with a child. This school has a broad spectrum of students, with an experienced faculty. Thus far, my grandson seems to have benefitted from that faculty and the general atmosphere which seems in all respects to be caring, respectful and responsible. I have witnessed no bullying or other negative behavior during lunch time, children seem to interact freely and in a very friendly and accepting matter, and there is always someone watching over them. Teaching is an exhausting job, and I appreciate the effort involved. The support staff is also uniformly friendly and respectful to both adults and children. Overall, I would as a retired professional give this school good marks. I have seen nothing significant which would raise any red flags. I have no experience with special education or special needs, but the physical needs of students seem to be met.

It’s an A rated school with a low student to teacher ratio for the LWR area. Teachers are wonderful, the parents are friendly and there’s tons of community events. We are able to walk our kids to school or take them on the golf cart...we love having a great neighborhood school! This school is why we chose to buy our house in River Club.

This school is awesome! Our daughter went to a charter school last year so we are new to BRE. It's the best choice we made! Our daughter loves going to school, all of the teachers and staff make it a point to know the children by name and make them feel a part of a family! We live in a neighborhood outside of the district, and all the families on our street have choiced their children to this school. Lots of fun activities outside of school hours for the kids and families. Lots of parent involvement. Our daughter is being challenged and the communication with the teachers is open and easily accessable! Cannot say enough great things about BRE!

My child is finishing 3rd grade and this school was great when she started in kindergarten but each year gets more and more disappointing. Uniform policy was put in place; it is not strict enough to deal with the socioeconomic issues yet does not allow for the children to be themselves. Voted on the policy every year until it was put in place and now we do not get to vote to have it removed. The classrooms are not grouped by "like learners" as some other schools are, so the poor teachers have to deal with children that learn at all different rates. The children are separated by class at recess, so they do not get to play with any friends that are not in their recess group. It is VERY disappointing and my child has gone from asking to go to school to not wanting to go at all. Many of the reasons we choiced into this school have been changed and it is saddening.

Braden River continues to excel! We are once again an A school (after the small glitch last year due to a technicality -- not due to overall FCAT scores). The students love the annual theme which keeps them excited and engaged. Uniforms have added to the professionalism of the school environment and the ongoing BRE staff continuing education is adding to the cooperative learning environment. Way to go, BRE!

I love this school so much! My daughter has only being there for one year but they have made her feel part of the family and she made new friends during the first week. They promote good behavior by randomly giving kids BRE bucks that they could save and exchange for cool stuff. This keeps them motivated. The PTO is great creating a sense of community by having activities for the families. I love my daughter's teacher and the staff is wonderful. My second child will be attending VPK in this school next year.

Great school!! Mrs.rio is a great leader in our school. When making decisions she has the best interest of the children. We have a kindergartner and a 2nd grader and are very pleased!

There has been a marked improvement in every aspect of this school with the new principal. I have seen much improved morale amongst the staff and Ms. Rio is more open, yet more professional than the former principal. The only issue I still see, that I guess is unavoidable, is favoritism of certain teachers by the administration. The same teachers who have always been favored.
