I went here for seven years, read the 1 star reviews first. Take your kids and run so far away from this place. The teachers are bullies, immature, and not fit to work with children. They allowed girls to bully me for months, sometimes physically hurting me in front of them, and then I was the one that suffered at the hands of administration. You'll pay an absurd amount of money for your kid to go here and they won't get hot lunches, access to working computers, or a real arts and sports program. I wish I had never gone here, my life would have been so much better, it ruined my life and my two sisters lives until we got to high school. The scars I have from this place will never go away. Take it from a student who suffered here: Run. So Far. Away.

Our son is in the fourth grade and has been a student at Saint Margaret Regional School since Kindergarten, SMRS has a strong STEM learning curriculum that starts in Pre-K and continues through all the grades. The school is a "Project Lead the Way" school working with Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Science, Technology and Math programs. More importantly, every teacher knows every child and the parents, administration and teachers provide a nurturing, safe environment for kids to grow together

Although apprehensive about beginning a new path for my children, St. Margaret's has proven to be a true success. My children have a different way of learning, which can present to be overwhelming for a school that does not offer a respective department, however, the principal has made it a mission to create the necessary pathways for their success and it has been an amazing experience. Many of the teachers have training and are certified in Special Education. They are willing to comb through reports, implement, supplement and challenge, in a warm, friendly, loving environment. I have never seen my children more content and willing, in a school setting. I will forever be grateful for the experience and honored to know all of these, kind, caring individuals.

Our daughter started at St. Margaret's in Kindergarten. Best kindergarten teacher you will ever find - hands down! Due to moving to a new town, we switched her school in her second year and enrolled her into public school for a couple years. What a mistake! There was such a big difference in both her academic progress and psychosocial development. She had lost her love for learning. During that time, we were left in the dark with her progress and they made it extremely difficult for us to be involved in her education. She was treated as a number, not as family like she was at St. Margaret's. We sent her back to St. Margaret's in the fourth grade (another great teacher who truly cared - she now teaches 3rd grade). Our daughter is currently in their middle school and has a variety of teachers. She loves going to school each day and is already learning a second language (Spanish). Each child is strongly encouraged to reach their full potential. They are expected to fulfill their responsibilities and are held accountable for their own actions. The teachers and staff provide a supportive and positive environment to make it possible for them to succeed. We have never seen her put in so much effort and be so motivated to do well in her studies. She is challenged in each class. The middle school teachers make a great team. They each bring something positive to the table and work with parents to provide a great learning environment for the children. We do not feel left out of our child's educational career as we did when she was enrolled in public school. They continuously involve us in her academic progress and social development. The teachers keep parents updated on their child's progress and make it very easy to get in contact with if need be. St. Margaret's provides our daughter with a safe, nurturing environment where she can be herself and strive for excellence in her academics while staying true to basic values that are taught at home. The staff, from the teachers to the business office, are all very friendly. In my daughter's experience, the other kids have proven to be compassionate, kind people. Their parents are always friendly as well. It is definitely a family-oriented environment. Based on academics and the psychosocial aspect alone, I highly recommend this school to every parent I know. Every family is welcomed at St. Margaret Regional.

This school has fulfilled our requirement to provide a nurturing, family friendly environment for our children and family. They are/were both well prepared for high school. The staff and parents are like family to us. This school offers art and music programs, gym and middle school sports, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council and it's curriculum is STEM based - Project Lead the Way. Technology is woven into all core courses, 100% Science Fair participation and Spanish offered as an academic course grades 5-8. Please include these pieces of information in your facts and details about the school!!!

We have been at this school for three years- the teachers are amazing, loving, and kind. The small school is safe and my children are thriving with the small class numbers. The students are taught values, respect and to love one another. The service projects really teach our children to respect and to care for others and not just ourselves, something I think is lacking now in many schools. I love this school, teachers and supporting staff, what a hidden gem Saint Margrets really is.

My son is starting the 8th grade here today. We have lived in many places and this is his 5th school he has attended. He was welcomed with open arms last year by the students and his teachers, making it an easy transition for him. I love how the kids were so open to accepting him. The teachers are attentive and kept me informed as to his progress and made sure he stayed on task. I am very happy there is a no cell phone policy now and they closely monitor online activities! The new principal was my sons home room and language arts teacher last year. I can't say enough good things about her and am looking forward to his last year of elementary school. I truly believe he will be more than prepared for whatever high school he attends! Thank you St. Margaret's Regional!

Our young children ask each day when school begins this year in anticipation of another great year at St. Margaret Regional School (just about two more weeks). Imagine asking during summer vacation when school will begin. Amazing! The draw here is the loving and nurturing environment in which to learn. The teachers and administration have always treated each in our family with kindness and respect. When our kids heard who the new principal would be they each cheered joyously as though they had the winning lottery ticket. It is important to us to instill in our children the values of the Catholic faith. If you value rigorous academics and a friendly learning environment that respects your faith tradition then St. Margaret Regional School is your choice.

This year will be our 5th year at SMR. We couldn't be happier with the education, family environment, and extracurricular activities for our children. We of course wish that the school had more funding to update the facility, but the core values and quality of education make up for it!

Where to start? The school is so run down and deplorable, the teaching staff is immature and needs to be replaced, the principal is horrible and a bully, and even acts like one with the parents. No lunches, no nothing for what you pay. Save your money and find a better school!!!

Hi my name is Stephanie and I would like to write a review on Saint Margarets Regional School in Buzzards Bay. I have three daughters enrolled at this school. This was our first year here. I pulled my girls out of public schools for many different reasons. I felt our girls deserved the absolute best education possible. This is exactly what my husband and I found at Saint Margarets. The teachers are excellent. They have a terrific academic program and offer many extra curricular activities. All of the staff at this school have always been kind, informative and have always had our children's best interest at hand. Saint Margarets Regional School was the best choice for our children. In today's society our Catholic faith is continually being persecuted from the media and even many public schools. Without God first we have nothing. Saint Margarets reinforces this importance in our children. We are very blessed to have our children attending this school! Thank you

School is in very poor condition. It needs a complete overhaul and a new play area for the children.

Soon to start will be my child's second year at St. Margaret Regional School. The teachers, principal, and additional staff are exceptional, going far above the call of duty to ensure the success of these students. It is not merely a school, but a family of educators, who provide challenging academics, endless support, and many fun other activites including sports, service, arts, etc. I can't say enough about St. Margaret's.

St. Margaret Regional School is a wonderful school filled with highly motivated staff who are there for the children. Are they perfect? No, nothing is. The school did have an inexperienced principal for the school years of 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. They now have a new principal who is bringing back the high standards that I have seen in the past. Do they ask a a lot from the parents? Yes, they do. They want the parents to be involved in the school. I have always had my questions answered in a positive and collaborative atmosphere. I highly recommend this school!

Obviously from the reviews not everyone will have the same experience but ours was terrible. I could write a list of the issues we had but will refrain and keep the review light in nature and basic. Bottom line, my child didn't do well here and now is blossoming and getting straight As at another private school. It's double the tuition but worth every penny. In my opinion we are getting a much better education/teaching style and we are soo happy! I guess it all depends on what your standards are, for a long list of reasons, it certainly wasn't up to ours!

This school has some real issues. I believe there should be a complete, timely overhaul; beginning with the administration - and continuing with hiring MATURE teachers who truly want to "be there". We saw no stimulation or challenge for students. Communication with administration tended to be abrupt, bordering on sarcastic and flippant. The school is old and tired...and the students are imprisoned by mundane "bare basics" classes. They quickly need to step-up to the plate if they intend to carry on in the tradition of the St. Margaret Regional School of past years. There is also not a lot offered here for the money. This school requests and requires more and more from parents, with very little giving of itself toward it's students in the way of modern curriculum. In short, they need to show more interest in their students - - - or more families will move on as we have.

We tried this school and were not happy with many aspects of it. The school is very rundown, it really needs a complete make-over. The children run around a tarred parking lot, there are no fields or grass for the kids to play on. When paying tuition its a bit of a disappointment that the grounds and the school isn't in better condition. Some small improvements have been made but it has a ways to go. The education was decent but the math program was really weak. On a positive note they have a fun gym class and offer a lot of family type activities. However, all in all, the decision to move on was not a difficult one.
