As an alumnus from a couple decades ago, this school tries its best to give every student that enters after an application process the ability to succeed both academically and in a trade. Over the years it has grown from a simple voc tech to a powerhouse of multiple different disciplines within each set grouping. Using the most up to date tech to teach the students what they will be facing within their chosen fields. They also offer things like co-ops where if they keep their grades up they can enter into the fields of their shops with on the job training and experience. When leaving they have a higher chance of both succeeding and thriving in their fields as best as they can. The 7 feeder districts fund this one school on top of federal dollars, as such they are able to continue to improve, hire and retain the best teachers both academically and vocationally to better prepare students going into either a pure Trade track or have the option to go to College afterwards. I'm sure more recent student graduates can give more detail, however from what i've experienced many continue to grow into positive members of their chosen paths.

UCT was an amazing experience. Outstanding across the board. The bonds that I have formed with my classmates and instructors as well as my teammates will never be broken. It was a closely knit community and a tremendous working environment. Every student leaves college and career ready, most students go to college. I recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a 3.8 GPA and have had close friends from UCT just graduate from the likes of MIT, Tufts, and Amherst college and amongst many other outstanding academic institutions. A few of my fellow graduates and I got together and proudly said that Upper Cape Tech prepared us for everything. I couldn't have imagined a better place to go to high school. So many amazing memories and so many amazing people to share them with. Thank you UCT!!!

I currently attend this school and honestly have no idea why it's received a 5 out of 10. That's seriously disappointing I'd give it about a 9. The only thing making it not a 10 is the lack of good math teachers. Everything other than that is spot on how it should be. I don't understand the 5.
