My daughter is in the 8th grade and she has had multipe panic attacks, because of the teachers here. She is scared of them whenever she asks for help she gets either screamed at or gets told her parents should hire a tutor for her. She doesn’t need a tutor she just wants help to one question. Not only the teachers, but also the students are overly rude and don’t even get punished for it. Nobody really even pays attention to how students act. There are no special events celebrated here or what so ever. The dress code is very strict, you can’t show ur ankles or shoulders. And if you do you will not get a warning first, but a detention straight away even if it’s ur first day. My daughter begs me to not bring her to school atleast once a week.

We love our schools and teachers. Classrooms have always been bright and inviting! Our B2B motto, Bourne to be respectful, responsible and safe is something we carry and use in our daily lives. Our schools work hard on inclusivity, and encourage individuality. Recent up-grades include a reorganization of facilities to establish an elementary school-pre K through grade 2 school, a brand new Intermedite school-grades 3-5, a middle school and High school. Excellent allocation of age appropriate resources.

I went to this school over a decade ago. Looks like not much has changed. I was bullied by both the Dean, teachers and students because I am eccentric and battled with conforming to be liked but simply could not because it’s not who I am. I went to Sturgis Charter School for High School where, back in my day (‘10 graduate) there was no such thing as the popular kids. I hope it’s still like this today. Everyone pretty much got a long with everyone and your unique gifts and personality are embraced by both teachers and fellow students. Also, my education was superb! I felt fully prepared for college at Sturgis. I left Bourne and never looked back.

My daughter is currently in the eighth grade and has been supported and challenged throughout her four years at Bourne Middle School. I cannot say enough good things about her teachers~ every one has motivated her with skill, kindness, and positive reinforcement to achieve to the highest level that she is capable of. In recent years, classes have been added to challenge the higher achieving students and my daughter has also benefited from this. Homework help is offered after school. Teachers provide timely feedback on student progress. I highly recommend this school.

I have two children in the Bourne school system I will be starting home schooling next yearmy daughter has suffered ulcers and sever anxiety with how these "teachers" conduct themselves as the educators of our children the only real lesson my kids have learned at this establishment is try really hard not to stick out not only will the kids make fun of you but the teachers get in on it too.

I am a student here at BMS and i honestly have to say i hate it. they ban everything from mints, to hugging. i mean seriously? we cant even hug? they even banned high fiving. really now. if you dont play school sports, the teachers practically ignore you,. they favor kids, if yur not a teachers pet, then practically you wont get a good grade. dont go to this school.

I have had two children attend this school and I am very happy that the 3rd won't be. With my oldest there was a huge amount of bullying going on and nothing was done because we are a military family. If you have not lived here since forever you don't matter in this community. My daughter has had an easier time at the school due to the fact that she's a girl and easily escapes notice. DS #1 would do well academically no matter where hi is at, whereas DD needs all the help she can get. Which she doesn't get here! All in all please find another place to send your child.
