Worst school I’ve ever interacted with. Experience might be slightly better if your kid is neurotypical but doubtful. Run the other way if you require any sort of IEP or additional support, especially if you require any sort of competency from administrators. Most of the faculty is rude and insufferable. The vice principal is more immature than the students. I would give a lower rating if possible.

Our kids loved going to this school. Teachers and staff were very helpful throughout the years. Highly recommended this elementary.

The office ladies are friendly and great, but apart from them, the school has a very negative vibe. The lunch and recess supervisors run the place like a prison and the principal lacks knowledge of district policies and is generally unhelpful. I expected more of a warm and inviting learning environment for elementary school kids and unfortunately this school does not offer that.

My both kids are going to Woodside Elementary school, they are really liking the teachers, and school environment, i never hear any complain from them in the last 3 years. The teachers are friendly, supportive, and doing great job in the current pandemic situation too. Thanks a lot.

I have a 4th grader and 1st grader at Woodside. We Absolutely LOVE this school and the teachers and staff! The Teachers are so attentive, they genuinely care about all the kids, and they do a great job of challenging thte students who need it, and give a little extra to the ones who need it as well. The communication is excellent, I can expect to email the staff and teachers an have always received a response the same day. This School has such a great community feel and we just love it here! Dr. Cobbs is awesome with the kids! I definitely Agree with the comments above, she is strict, and holds the students accountable, but she does it in a supportive way, she never misses a school function and really goes above and beyond where it counts! We have had nothing but great experiences here @ Woodside! Looking forward to another successful year coming up!

Woodside is a great neighborhood school feel with outstanding teachers and staff! The principal and teachers expect the best of their students! The front office ladies are amazing and always make you feel welcome! The teachers and staff know all the students names and being part of the PTA rewards you with great relationships made with all school staff! We have felt lucky to be a part of the Woodside community!

There are some great teachers at the school. If you have a kindergartner there is only ONE teacher to avoid at all costs. If you get her I think you'll know fairly quickly that you'd be better off homeschooling or sending to private school for that year. I complained to the principal about her (as many others before have too). Unfortunately I believe she would have been fired long ago if it weren't for unions. Hopefully she'll retire soon. The school itself is old. There is some effort to getting a new/remodeled building. But the bigger problem is just overcrowding. It's better this year but with all the new houses/apartments going up in the area hopefully a new building comes sooner than later. Woodside has a higher % of free/reduced lunch than the neighboring schools--perhaps because the school boundaries include all the apartment kids up along Bothell-Everett Hwy. On the plus side it seems Woodside is more ethnically diverse than nearby schools.

Great School. I have my 5th grader here and have had nothing but great experiences here. Starting from the front desk, cafeteria and to the portables. The way they care about safety in this school makes me feel at ease when I'm at home. Love this school... too bad my son has to move on to middle school.

I have a 3rd grader and two Kinders here. We have had nothing but positive experiences. All of the teachers that we've had have been wonderful and the admin staff are friendly and helpful. My son started here in the middle of 1st grade incredibly behind on reading after moving from Oregon and the teachers have been so great in helping us to get him on track with his grade level.

I have a kindergartner and 2nd grader here. We LOVE both kids' teachers this year. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'm only giving 4 stars because of our terrible experience with my now 2nd grader's kindergarten teacher.

I have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader at Woodside. We have been very happy with the school and the teachers. Our kids are getting a great education and being challenged in areas that they are good at and get additional help when needed. Overall there are very nice and involved families as well. We are happy at Woodside!

A new K parent this year. So far I am VERY impressed. Dr Cobb is wonderfully involved, front staff super helpful, communication about everything is given in emails, txts, voicemail AND via the Facebook page. The PTA is incredible. Our teacher is a 25 year veteran and is great with the kids! They also provide a LEAP program for K-1 before other Hi-cap offerings start in case your child arrives a little advanced in reading etc.

My daughter attended school year here for two years and then we bought a house in another district and moved. We miss Woodside so much! Dr. Cobbs is awesome. She focuses on education, which is what she should focus on. My daughter's teachers were all good, and the PTA puts on some awesome events. There is a great sense of community and a large amount of parent involvement. As someone with kids on 504's and IEP's, I think you have to fight for any services in any school district. It's the nature of the beast.

My child was to attend kindergarten herel this coming fall. Just completing the IEP process alone was enough as parents to choose an alternative option for our child. What an absolute mess this process was. I was treated rather poorly. But I can say from observation the children never looked happy when I was there- but rather in distress on the playground, or alone before class outside with no parental supervision. My child was rushed through one of her assessments, and I was in disbelief that a person with such a position could behave in such a manner. Faculty & administration have difficulty owning their mistakes- they want to find blame somehow in the parent. Parents need reassurance, not to be patronized. How could I let my child attend this school if I, the parent, am treated poorly? I wanted to give this school a chance. It's unfortunate. There were a couple people there who did have it together & I empathized with them having to work around the rest of that chaos. These days, there are other choices we can seek out for our child's education. So step it up people. Or none of your levys are going to ever pass. Why? Because parents who care have taken their children elsewhere.

My child is in Kindergarten at Woodside and I have to say the experience has been a real eye opener for our family! The teacher my child has forgets things all the time, she had lost numerous kids report cards, double booked conferences, let kids out 15 minutes late because of just plain forgetfulness and honestly has no respect or regard for others including her co-workers, this teacher has bad mouthed other teachers including the principal, it's very sad!. There is a real lack of communication and sadly, the Principal has been notified of numerous incidents within the classroom and will not do anything about it. It's really unfortunate because Kindergarten is supposed to be such a great experience and I have to say ours has been pretty awful this far.. We will be attending another school next year. I hope no body else has to go through what we have gone through!

My family is new to Woodside. I am still learning the nuances of the school. However the staff seem engaged and do care about the development of our children. I would like to see more resources made available to this campus especially when compared to the other elementary schools in Everett. Woodside could use a facelift as relates to infrastructure, equipment etc. I am very interested in actively supporting Woodside through its PTA and I have made myself available by providing my contact info to no avail. I think we all have to assume responsibility for success and failure; can't just blame "administration".

My son attended Woodside for his Kindergarten year. The Principal and staff are great. The principal really cares about the students. My guess as to way she has been bad mouthed thru reviews, is because she is stern. She expects her students to do their best and beyond. Woodside needs someone who there for the students. For the most part the teachers care about their students and their learning. There have been some issues or concerns with teachers lashing out at students in front of their peers. Listen with the way schools are going now, we need for our students, parents, teachers, etc. to be more responsible for their part in the child's behavior. If it had not been for a move my son would still be there. Parents must stand up and show out (in a positive way) to let any school know that your child's education is important to you. As a former volunteer/pta mom. Woodside deserves their rating, talk to the school before simply reading the reviews. Make your own decision. By the way I think there are alternative motives as to why others have bad mouthed the principal, and not in a good way!

Woodside is the worst school my child has ever attended. They allow your children to be bullied. we know several students who are now home schooled because of this, the teachers ridicule students in front of their peers. when my child got beat up and harassed at school, the counselor called my child in and told them that the student who had done that had anger issues and to quit being a victim. my child is no longer at woodside. every child deserves to be in a safe learning enviroment and woodside does not provide that.
