As is the case with all Schools in the Northshore School District, Bothell High School has excellent academics. Additionally, Bothell boasts excellent after school and auxiliary programs. Bothell athletics for both genders is among the best in the state, headlined by the boys' football team, which is in truth often out performed by girls' basketball and volleyball and our state champion cheer squad. Beyond that, Bothell Jazz band routinely wins national awards. The theater group delivers world class productions.Science Olympiad, DECA, FBLA, and First-tech Robotics all compete at high levels in state competitions each year.It isn't the prettiest campus in the district, but Bothell works hard and outperforms in the ways that matter most for young adults.

Our daughter graduated last year and our son is a Junior this year - what an amazing school and community. There are opportunities for EVERY student, everyone is included, the kids are kind and accepting of others, and the teachers are fantastic. They truly care about the kids, and the kids care about them. The sports programs are amazing, the DECA program is great, and there are lots of activities and clubs for everyone. I can't say enough good things about Bothell High School and feel so fortunate to be a part of this amazing community.

Covid restrictions are terrible at this school. A teacher will tell a kid to pull his mask up just to have him pull it down a second later. You can’t go to the restroom with out seeing 3 kids smoking there devices. There’s white kids that think there gang members. This is by far one of the worst schools I have attended

Fantastic school… We were glad to have the school be the option for where we lived. Much better than other local high schools

Many excellent teachers who really care about students’ understanding the material. They are available for extra help. Unfortunately, very deliberate social bullying related to sports team continues, and is ignored or viewed as “OK” (depending on the athletes) by the team’s coaches/athletics. Tons of research out there. Why is this continuing in 2019?

It's hard enough for a family to move, to change, to send our children to a new school as it is. But people move all the time! Life changes! Our first impression of this highschool was poor. Among all the other schools (jr highschool and elementary schools), this highschool was the only we didn't feel welcome. They are way too busy, they've got their own small world. Very "highschool like". How much more so for a child to go through that? It's nothing new, highschool is when kids coming out from being home school, transfer, even exchange students happen! They should be more prepared especially summer break is nearly 3 months. At least they can say "welcome to our school", no matter how busy they maybe, it's always nice to hear.

I absolutely love BHS. Most people are really nice and if not they wont bother you. I like most of my teachers although the Spanish 100 teachers are not so great. There are so many clubs and extracurricular activities that will suit almost anyone. The education and great and so are the sports. My first day there as a sophomore wandering around during lunch with my friend, we were asked to sit down immediately from really nice seniors. The ASB is full of really nice people and the school spirit is strong. Go Cougs!

I went to Bothell High School for about a semester my sophomore year of high school. I transferred from MTHS to live with my dad. The first thing I have to say is that going from an extremely diverse school such as Terrace to a school where I don't remember seeing any other race other than white still boggles me to this day. My experience at Bothell as a middle to lower class half-white, half-asian girl who looks Mexican was very difficult. I was obviously the "new kid" because I started about a month in a half into the semester. At Terrace, the new kid is always welcomed, talked to, invited to sit, and encouraged that they're officially a Hawk. I would know because, I was one of those students that always talked to the new kid, showed them where their classes where, asked them to sit with me and lunch and all my friends did the same. But at Bothell, no one talked to me, and when I reached out, I was rejected. I ate lunch in a bathroom stall for a semester, alone. I transferred back to Terrace the next semester. I can honestly say I hated Bothell High School. The students there are horrible people that judge, discriminate, and reject others not like them. The teachers do the same.
