I am a resent Alumni,Do not send your kid here. Minorities and girls are especially treated badly by fellow students, teachers, and administration. The school is misogynistic, racist, and ableist. Instead of working towards fixing these problems the administration blankly ignores it. Kids that commit sexual assault or call others slurs are not punished. The victims, however, are punished if they try to speak on it.The education at Cedar Park is also very outdated and not college prep level. The surrounding public schools in the area give a far better education than this private school.The school also offers no additional help for special need students. One boy with Down syndrome was assigned to a fellow immature classmate. I won’t go into the details but it was a very bad set up. If you do wish for your child to have additional help like a tutor or assistant, you have to figure it out and pay for it yourself on top of the schools tuition.The school’s technology is also very behind. In the past couple years the school has obtained digital white boards. Public schools in the area have already had them for around 20 years. It is also hard to get access to a laptop. The ones at Cedar park are outdated, and you are not allowed to rent them out to bring home. If you can’t get access to one at home then you are out of luck. I’ve typed all my papers on my phone through out middle school and high school. I have had to reteach myself how to type for college on a laptop I bought for myself.Most of the teachers do not care about you. They will only listen to you if you are talking about God or Christianity. The ones that do care normally end up leaving after a couple years there because they cannot stand being apart of Cedar Park Christian School.In this post I’ve only covered a small portion of the problems at Cedar Park.

My son goes to The Northwest School and we had a playoff soccer game last night against Cedar Park Christian at their school. I have to say that of all the soccer games my son has played in high school in the last 4 years, the players, student fans and parents on the sidelines were the worse I have ever seen. The players were the most arrogant group of young boys I had seen. Showing up the ref, pulling their shirt off when they scored a goal, etc. However, they are at least the players so in the heat of the moment I can appreciate that happens. However, having student fans swearing and belittling referees and having parent fans mocking parents from Northwest who are just cheering for their kids I have never seen. There were multiple cases where you have 50 year old parents making fun of a student player for Northwest when they made a mistake. I can't vouch for how this school academically is, however, based on the actions of the students and parents from this school I would be very concerned with sending my child here.

Mediocre school academically with some very dated curriculum. They seem unwilling to change and just defend their method. Dress code is restrictive especially for female students. Be wary of sending your student here.

I have two kids that started their 4th and 5th grade years at Cedar Park. They had previously been in the LWSD. I cannot tell you how happy we are that we enrolled the kids at CPCS. The teachers are too notch, the kids are kind (too many entitled bullies at their last school) and the education is amazing. They have learned more in 4 months than they did in 2 years at their last school. It’s night and day. The school also feels like it’s the parents choice not the governments to make health decisions for their kids. They aren’t forced to wear masks while running in a soccer or basketball game, it’s up to the parents. However, they do follow state mandates (no matter how ridiculous) so that they are compliant during covid. All and all, this school is absolutely amazing.

I know it may seem pretty mixed, however, there are very few teachers and leaders that I would say need to be let go. The office staff is not kind or genuine and needs some training on how to manage people and do customer service. However, overall, the school is exceptional and my daughter is excelling. The teachers are what matter. My daughter is in 2nd grade and reads at a 4th grade reading level and continues to rise!

Overall experience is luke warm. There are a few teachers that my kids adore. Regrettably they appear to be the exception to the norm. This school does a brilliant job of marketing how much of a superior environment and education they offer compared to orher private or ounlic schools. The reality is much different. After many years we pulled our kids out of the school and actually went public. Quite candidly we have been pleased with the environment, curriculum and attention from the teachers and administration. CPC is not all it is cracked up to be

I am a parent of two children, both started in preschool at CPCS and my son graduated 2 years ago and my daughter is going into 10th grade. We have been so happy with the education that our children have received at CPCS. My son, who now attends WSU constantly is saying how well he was prepared for college by CPCS. His friends have struggled with the adjustment of going from HS to college and my son feels like it is just another day at school with how well the teachers have prepared him for college. The teachers at the school do more than just teach the students, they care about each and every one of them. I wouldn't have my kids anywhere else!

I started at Cedar Park in seventh grade and very quickly found myself cared for in many aspects of life: spiritually, academically, socially, and athletically. This place was like home away from home, and I genuinely felt a sense of belonging uncommon just about anywhere else in life. The foundations of knowledge and integrity built from the school have led me to success in college all the way through grad school and into my early career, and many of the friends I made there are still good friends today. At Cedar Park, you get as much out as you put in. I went in with a good attitude and humility, and I came out with lifelong skills and lessons.

We enrolled our five children here at Cedar Park five years ago. We are so grateful how our kids found their place in this Christ centered community. Our children are constantly being challenged to pursue Christ in all their classes, activities and athletics. We are grateful for the accountability to follow rules, model Christ and be responsible for their academics. There are times our children are grumbly about school because sometimes they would rather be home on the couch watching TV eating donuts with soda (choosing the self-centered path of less resistance), but CPC staff partner with us parents to develop capable, competent and confident children by going above and beyond what any school traditionally offers.

I went to Cedar Park from 5th through 12th grade. My experience was a positive one. The postivity came out of the relationships I had with my teachers and the relationships I observed them maintain with each other. A school operates in some ways like a family, and backbiting and lack of support can undo the infrastructure. Seeing my teachers model integrity, compassion and respect toward each other and toward their students made my learning experience a healthy one. Yes, I still fought normal anxieties that come to every teenager, but I did not have additional anxiety about being embarrassed by my teachers or other class mates. I do not believe ANY utopian school exists, but the consistency of the teachers I had at Cedar Park still affects me today. Today, I am grateful to say that I teach at Cedar Park and hope to continue the legacy I experienced as a student. It is the place I would want my children to go. I want them to learn about who the Lord is and what His character is like and how that forever impacts they way we operate and care for people we encounter. I believe Cedar Park endeavors to do this work with humility and integrity.

I am a parent of two kids (just completed 6th grade and 3rd grade) at Cedar Park and I am also a teacher at Cedar Park. I did all of my student teaching in the Northshore School District and then taught for a year at a Northshore School District School. I had a good experience there, however, when I moved to teach at Cedar Park Christian School I knew I had found the place that I wanted to teach forever, and also the place that I wanted my children to attend. I have just completed my 9th year of teaching at Cedar Park and have loved every minute! The staff at Cedar Park is tremendously committed to the growth and success of every individual child in all areas, including spiritually, emotionally, academically, ALL areas! My two children have THRIVED here. They are both challenged academically and supported where needed. They feel loved and cared for by their teachers, who work tirelessly to help my children succeed. I absolutely love my job at Cedar Park because I get to teach in an atmosphere of academic excellence, while at the same time helping my students to see the world through the truth of God's Word. I am proud to be both a teacher AND parent at Cedar Park and I know there is no other place I'd rather work, and no better place to send my kids to school.

This may be one of the worst Christian schools for your child to attend. The education is text driven, very average teachers, and probably the worst part is the lack of supervision. Expect your child to be compromised on security, leadership, and access to quality facilities. I withdrew my child after the first few weeks. My husband and I come from a very strong Christian and conservative background and with strong education/careers. I really regret ever sending my child here. He recovered going to one of the best schools and receives great Christian teaching and leadership at church. He is an A student and has scored highly on WA standards. This is a very poorly run school with limitations. Expect the staff to take multiple roles for lack of funding. Expect your child to haul around his books in a heavy backpack and limited locker space. It was a huge and costly mistake to send my child here for 2 weeks. I wish I could erase it from his memory and mine.

Our child attended Cedar Park Christian School in Bothell for several years. The experience was negative for many reasons: inexperienced/unprepared teachers, little to no curriculum/books, unethical and dishonest leadership. The principal of the high school, Mr. Smith, was very unprofessional in how he dealt with us, as parents, and how he handled our child. In retrospect, we wish we would have sent our child to Kings or Bellevue Christian.

Ask a school that preaches Christian values such as honesty and virtue why they hired Bellevue High's coach after all of the scandals he was embroiled in.Clearly winning football championships is far more important than hiring coaches with any integrity or moral compass.

I graduated from this school in 1997. Now my 4 children attend CPCS. I am so grateful for the time the teachers put into each of my children. CPCS puts Christ first and they aren't ashamed to say so. It is very hard in this generation to find a Christian school putting Christ first, above all the latest trends. My children are all happy to be going to CPCS and love their teachers. We went to another Christian school for a year when we moved, but decided to move back to Bothell area to put our kids back in CPCS. Cedar Park Christian cares about children individually and there is a lot of community here. If you want Christ to be first in your child's life and you want them to have teachers who care about them holistically then you would definitely want to choose Cedar Park CHRISTIAN schools! They also have great sports programs, LEGO club, Robotics clubs, drama, and many other specialized extra curricular activities. They have a great turf field for sports and are building up a large playground for the kids. The cherry on top is that I can drive to one place for all my children, since I have elementary - high school.

There is no room in this world for teachers and schools that kick children out or make them feel like they are worth nothing, forcing them to decide on the spot if they are gay, lesbian, transgender or heterosexual and ask them to repent for sins they dont even understand. Absolutely disgusting. They are leading by example of teaching bigotry to judge other paths. These individuals in leadership roles need to go. Being a true Christian is not judging others and treating children with such disgust. Teaching of compassion, tolerance, acceptance, is the Christian Way. We have removed our children from this school based on what we've seen happen to other kids here. Its disgraceful. #LGBT #Gayrights #HRC #glaad #huffpostgay
