Liberty is a terrible school if your child has any learning differences or needs extra assistance with learning needs. The teachers and principal is quick to move to a specialized setting to get these children out of the classroom so they do not influence the test scores of the students. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL IF THEY HAVE A SPEECH DELAY OR NEED OTHER LEARNING ASSISTANCE.

Safety conscience in providing a healthy environment for students. Teachers support individual learning needs of each child and provide frequent communication with primary care givers. Great use of technology to support learning curriculum. Administration is responsive and demonstrates robust leadership. Strong community of diverse students where cultures are celebrated.

We have had experience with 3 diff. teachers. Two are motivational & positive influencers. One made me question if she loved educating or just wants a paycheck. My child hated that year. As for the school, a star was omitted for 2 reasons: 1st, for the hefty amount of taxes that are collected by PSD202, I would expect the school to have more after school clubs & activities to encourage growth & exploration of interests for the children. Liberty outsources activities at a cost for the families. For those who can afford the few options available, great. Those who may not have the money are left without. Science, math, reading, language, etc. clubs & tutoring could be done with little to no expense to the student or through funding from the very active PTA. 2nd, the district constantly is implementing additional testing on the students, whether through the Common Core implementation or PERA exams (which takes away our children's valuable learning time so administrators can evaluate the educator's performance). They are constantly taking focus away from our children to satisfy bureaucracy. I feel that Liberty & PSD202 employs intelligent administration who should be able to to do their jobs without the children being burdened. While some of this may come from a district level, it is still an experience related to Liberty Elementary. Overall, I would recommend the school to others interested in moving into the area. There is room for improvement, as with all schools, but nothing that would hinder my recommendation.

My children have attended for 3 years. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our teachers. The front office staff is nice but not very approachable. Our principal can implement more after school programs for tutoring and to offer excel programs. Our music program is wonderful; but not funded properly.

Liberty is a great school! The teachers and faculty are enthusiastic and do a wonderful job. My son loves learning and loves going to school everyday. It's a high quality school that is well run and worth the high taxes we pay out here.
