We moved from a highly-rated high school in the north suburbs of Chicago to Plainfield, Illinois. Plainfield North High School is the best, especially the student counselors, registration and secretary; the teachers are the best . We are happy to have moved to Plainfield."

So far so good, my kid is in honors/AP and the teachers have been absolutely great. Some kids are immature and troublemakers. And the teachers do their best to keep them under control, but they can only do so much. My kid loves the staff and everyone has been extremely helpful and kind, including principal Draper. We had issues with a rude Registrar, but that is all. It’s been great other than that. I can see why people move here for the school.

personally i believe this school is lacking qualities of a 10/10 rated school. teachers have no emotional boundaries when it comes to their relationships with students. by this i mean, for my daughter she was bullied by an english teacher who spread her business around the entire school.

I've attended three different high schools in three completely different parts of America and I can safely say that PNHS doesn't even hold a candle to other high schools. They definitely don't deserve a 10/10 rating, especially considering that students are essentially treated like cargo and made to work like animals. Not to mention the drug/vaping problem which the district is trying so hard to hide. Naperville, frankly, isn't much better either so my best suggestion would be to stay out of the area all together

Terrible from the way these girls were treating the opposing team.

My son is starting his Jr. Year in Aug 2017 and he's done quite well. His teachers are excellent and treat the kids like adults. They also keep in top of how well my son is doing and recommend him for honors classes, which is the little push my son needs. Our counselor Mr. Wagner is excellent. He's available to advise anytime and has been a great help in mapping out my son's 4 years of HS in preparation for college. Our Principal is great with the kids and encourages the students instead of intimidating them. Overall our experience with PNHS has been excellent!

As a student, I feel some of the teachers lack the quality of being a teacher. I understand people have different teaching methods, but some are incredibly hard to keep up with. The counselors are useless, they couldn't even help several of my friends for something extremely important! And all the kids there are just rude or stuck up

I had one daughter graduate in 2013, one graduated 2015, and my son will graduate in 2018. They have had great experiences at PNHS and the two that graduated both received scholarships to attend out of state universities. From Ms. Krueger in the front office who is always so kind to every student and parent walking in the door to Mr. Hawkins who keeps us parents well informed of activities to Frau Knop and Madame Trahey in the language department I cannot be happier that we ended up at this high school.

This is a school for academic success. What I don't like is how some of the students are let down by not being selected to play different sports

I would give this school a C-. There are very few teachers that actually car about the students. Most are just paycheck teachers, all they want is their money. A few of the teacher a mildly insane. I learned more from the internet then i did from most of my teachers. but on the bright side there are a few amazing teacher. but the number of bad to good teachers is easily 6:1. Like other people have said the office staff is by far the worst, it takes forever to get anything done and they never do their job...

As a student, I feel like this school doesn't care as much about our futures as much as they think they do. They need to focus more on bullying, and other things that can help us in reality when we go out to get a job. Anybody can be a straight A student, but that doesn't mean we'll get hired.

as a 2010 graduate i can say all the teachers i have had were fantastic! i loved every single one of them. the problem is with the office. it took FOREVER to get in to see your counselor, the ladies in the office were HORRIBLE! just rude beyond all reason, and the nurses are just plain mean. i broke my ankle one year and they REFUSED to let me take the elevator because they had no doctors note. my doctor resent the note 3 TIMES. besides the teachers that got too "friendly", the teaches were great. its the other staff that was a problem.
