Some of the teachers are great but most of them don't even pay attention to what you do and tell you what to do at the last minute. I definitely won't suggest this school to anyone.

way back when I was here, my closest friends had to go to a different high school than me because of district lines... then why did they go to heritage grove if they couldn’t go to Plainfield north? Why would you separate them like that? Plainfield north and heritage grove are way too close for district lines to say sike you can’t be with your friends anymore. Absolutely sad.

My experience at Heritage Grove was absolutely awful. I was bullied for all three years, and even though the teachers and the principal knew about it, they refused to do anything. The boy that bullied me was in all my classes and the teachers would deliberately place us next to each other because they knew that I was the only one that could keep him from disrupting the entire class. I suffered for three years and three years later, I still have really bad anxiety. Mr. Pape, who reprimanded me for not telling him that I was getting bullied, refused to actually punish the boy whatsoever and told my parents that I was too sensitive and I was lying to them about what was happening to me. Just don't send your child here. It'd be a shame if another student has to go through the mental torture that I went through at that school

Bad school and a very bad district. Allowed my so, who has, a disability, to be bullied and then tried to act as if it was his fault. Very little response from the district and the school regarding this matter.

All three of my children attended this school, they were very well prepared for high school and I believe received a great education. As for all of the after school activities such as basketball, band, school plays etc. I always saw the principal in attendance. Very committed to the school. As a side note, all three of my kids attended the district wide Washington DC trip for 8th grade, it could not have been better planned or supervised, if your children are allowed this opportunity it is a great experience.

Just won an Illinois Horizon School Award again. This means that our school has "demonstrated academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structures and processes."

This is a excellent school to go to. The teachers are very kind and the school has seasonal extracurricular activities such as track and field, wrestling, cross country, soccer, cheerleading, yearbook club enviromental club and many more.

I am very happy with Heritage Grove, and that is saying a lot because I am very picky. My son is in the 7th Grade, he had an excellent 6th grade teachers, and I concur with the kudos for Mr Haas, he really loves to teach and it shows.
