Erickson doesn't have the funding and resources to attract and maintain good quality teachers. We would love to have better learning programs that other elementary schools have that Erickson lacks due to funding and space constraints. They also do not have a full day Kindergarten program that is essential for today's early childhood education.

As a parent and former student, I am so proud of the entire staff and administration for creating a strong sense of community at Erickson. The school staff help cultivate and model strong pillars of character every day. We are so happy that our child is receiving quality education with the smaller class sizes.

Bully, Social isolation, and no homeworkTried our best to work with school, including principle and teacher. No follow up with us so we don't feel comfortable our kids can be happy and focus on learning in school. Left the school after we tried every way and still no words from any staffs about our leaving. Very disappointed

Have a 2nd grader and Kindgartener in this school. Excellent teachers and administration. Strong connection between parents and teachers (a great PTA and responsive communication from teachers and building staff). High expectations at school and from parents lead to great results as shown by test scores. All in a welcoming community with a small town feel. So happy we moved here!

Something is seriously wrong with your current rating 5/10. You rated this school 10/10 for several years and 9/10 for the last 3 years, now 5/10?. If you check school digger, it is currently ranked 133/2100 illinois elementary schools. Something is either wrong with your data or formula. I have 2 kids in this schools and moved to my current home few years ago because of this school. It has excellent staff and teachers. Academically is also very sound. way ahead of many DuPage county schools. I am an engineer and believe me I look at the curriculum in detail especially STEM related subjects. The school also has a very respectful accelerated program starting in 3rd grade. My wife and I are extremely happy with how the school has handled the whole COVID19 situation and very thankful to the staff and teachers for going above and beyond what they have signed up for. The irony is that Dujardin Elementary is graded 9/10 but ranked 150/2100 on schooldigger. Not sure if this is all due to some report that the school needed to submit within a certain timefrane but is still overdue. A 5/10 grade gives the absolute opposite picture of what Erickson Elementary is and has always been.Current Parent. C.

I worried switching my child from a strong Catholic school in the area and I have been so very pleased. I have been so impressed with the quality of teachers, the leadership team, and the overall excellence of the school.

Erickson is an outstanding, award-winning school. My children have attended for 6 years. The Greatschools shows a rating of 9 out of 10. The test scores tab above shows that Erickson ranks between 96 to 99% on the ISATs in nearly every category. It is quite obvious that the posters who stated that Erickson is below expectations are either posting on the wrong school or have some other grudge.

We thought that this school/district was great. My kids were doing excellent in school. We thought they are advanced. Until, we compared the level of education with other school district (Naperville-203/204and Hinsdale-181). We did extensive research and discovered that the reason my kids were doing excellent is because the level of education was not up to par. So we moved to Hinsdale-181 district and we could CLEARLY see the difference. We discovered that doing excellent in district-13 is doing average in 181/203 school district. I know that every child is different and every experience is unique, but there is clearly a noticeable difference in the level of education. Now that my kids go to 181 and I have time to compare the schools, I can not give any higher ranking than I have. My advise to parents is that they should get more actively involved and bring in measures that are been put in place in 181.

Erickson is a terrific school!!! The entire District 13 is outstanding!!! And when your child needs more of a challenge, they put them in Advanced classes. And advanced in the advanced as well if needed. My children are working out of books that are 2 years ahead of the rest. So the previous review that said "was to easy" for their child, well, they obviously are leaving a review on the wrong school. And by the way......too easy...is spelt with 2 o's in the context that they were trying to write. Maybe the person writing the review should take some time and attend one of the Grammar lessons at the school. LOL

My kids really enjoy going to school to learn at Erickson. I feel the teachers are top notch and have the best interest of the child. The teachers are very approachable and will answer all questions. The principal is always visible and the kids enjoy that. Could not have asked for a better experience so far as I have 2 more kids left to attend.
