My two kids attend this school. I have to say that UPK-2nd Grade were wonderful teachers and very good in many ways. They were learning and growing. It was a positive experience. However, third grade was a horrible teacher pared with my child. The teacher was more quiet than my shy son! The teachers in 3rd-5th do not seem as strong as the younger grades. The principal is pretty rigid also. When I say that, it means that unless it is her idea, don't expect it will go anywhere. Also, she will smile at you but I always get that feeling that it isn't genuine. Just my opinion...don't get on the principal's bad side or your children are done. She will put you with a dud of a teacher. That's why I give this school 3 stars. They are so focused on PYP that it takes over everything. It should be sprinkled in the curriculum. It shouldn't be the main thing they are focused on. My child was not prepared for the ELA testing. But she knows the PYP planner information. ??? That needs to change and it will only happen with better leadership from the principal.
