My children have attended this school for the last few years and we all have been very happy with the experience at BHS.

Went to this school very a few years now and find that I am not learning what I should because the teachers don’t care enough.

Excellent education. Parent communication is great. Close to 100% graduation rate. Majority of students move on to strong colleges and universities for both academics and sports.

Bernardsville High School is one of excellence. All students are treated with respect and are cared for in a safe environment. The academic, social and emotional needs of all the students are what drives instruction. Then teachers and administrators are professional, well respected in the community because they put the needs of the children first. Not only is the academic instruction superior to most, but the co-curricular offerings are superb. While most public institutions are struggling to meet the needs of the students, Bernardsville High School does so with care and compassion. Any child would be lucky to be educated in such a warm, academically superior school.

I had the privilege of attending SHSD from K to 12th grade. The teachers are passionate and nurturing. There is strong parent involvement. Being a smaller district, there is an immense sense of community that I believe to not be as prevalent in neighboring districts. I am proud to say some of the friends I still have today are the same ones I met in Kindergarten.Bernards High is amazing at preparing their students for college. If you request a list of colleges the graduating seniors are attending, you will see dozens are attending Ivy League and other top-ranked universities. In my own college experience, I feel more prepared than most of my peers, and I directly attribute this to the quality of education I received at BHS. Classes at BHS are rigorous, and the students ambitious -- however, there is NOT an overly competitive, toxic environment that I hear about from friends in some surrounding districts. If you are looking for a well-rounded educational experience, look to SHSD.

As a 2019 BHS graduate, I feel that the school has done an excellent job in preparing me for success in college. Students from Bernards are going off to attend many prestigious academic institutions, including Princeton, Yale, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, and WUSTL . I would highly recommend Bernards.

Could not have been better. Our kids enjoyed their experiences ready to face life after high school.

When I told someone my child was studying Latin, they said, "oh he must be in private school." The school district offers Latin in 6th grade. Many many smart well-rounded kids.

Strengths lie in differences and I believe parents can be advocates for a better world. Through your example, your teen will learn that differences are important. In teaching your teens not to judge, especially not on outside appearances and wealth, you teach them to have more respect for others as well as more respect for themselves. When you show a level of respect for all people no matter what their wealth ranking or ethnicity is, your teen will learn to do the same. Children are not born with prejudices and biases; they do not see color, race, or ethnicity. Intolerance is something that is taught. Tolerance and acceptance can be taught the same way and that is the message you want your teen to hear. Kids are hardworking and intellegent

BHS used to be a great school with the IB and AP program and great athletics. Now, there are just tons of teacher protests, athletics have been terrible now, and all the students are hating the school. This school needs to devote itself to academics and fire teachers who just want to protest/hire new ones! Another bad thing about this school follows the motto "if you're rich, you're in". Basically, everyone that's white is in. Otherwise, no one treats you with respect in this school. I am spanish, and I have been treated so rudely by the staff in this school. I am glad I switched my daughter into private school!

great school. International baccalaureate prrogram. Top AP teachers. Very strong sports program including football, baseball, track, soccer, fencing. Very small intimate environment with only about 700 students. Most teachers live in town and send their own kids. Many students go on to top universities and that is the best measure of a successful program. Don't listen to those who have low self esteem and can only feel better about themeselves when they are putting others down
