We have 3 kids who have attended Harding Township School since pre-K and each of them have had amazing experiences. Their teachers have been attentive to their learning styles and the small class sizes helps them receive 1:1 instruction. The faculty does a fantastic job of addressing emotional well being on a daily basis. Our kids have blossomed through the various activities, clubs and sports gaining confidence and friends. HTS is a wonderful school and we are grateful to have our kids attend.

HTS is rated at the very top of all elementary and middle school rankings in the state for a reason - superb teachers that are engaged and invested in classrooms. My children have attended from Pre-K through middle school. We truly could not be happier with their growth and development. Very small class sizes (15 is typical, 18 is max) ensure that each teacher can focus on growing individuals. The Administration is engaged, responsive and caring. The Superintendent and Principal each know every single student (~290) by name and family (~180) doubtful any public school in the State can claim the same. HTS scores in upper echelon of NJSLA and offers strong Honors curriculum while providing superior support for children with extra or special needs. One small downside is difficulty fielding sports teams due to small class sizes. Most kids play sports through Madison Rec and travel teams. Overall, best school district in Morris County and one of the absolute best in the State.

The administration, teachers and parents all care deeply about the kids and making the school a warm and nurturing environment. The community is close-knit and very active. Teacher to student ratio is amazing and teachers go above and beyond to meet each child at their level and help them excel.

My child has felt unsafe at this school since the new administration started this year. A lot goes under the radar since many parents are just pulling their kids to private schools, and no one cares to ask the parents why their kids are leaving. The school is overcrowded now with 384 students and has no control. There is constant yelling by both the teachers and children and bullying. Kids are unable to focus on their academics. Both parents and children know that saying anything to the administration won’t make a difference. The bus system is a complete mess. Not a good environment and I would recommend other education/options.

Daily bullying is a normal occurrence at this school. For a school with anti-bullying campaigns, it is disgusting how the management prefer to just ignore routine bullying. The Superintendent, Principal, and Vice Principal are useless, powerless, and continually look the other way. Children are not safe. Just this wee (Dec 2022) I have heard of 5 instances of physical assault in this grammar school. No one in administration cares. The teachers are not knowledgeable about their subjects. The tests and quizzes are not published and if they are, will be changed at a moment's notice based on the teacher's whim. There is no order or organization anywhere. The Superintendent has no idea what is going on in the classroom. He talks a good game, and then behind closed doors ignores the problems. Nothing improves and nothing changes. I would not recommend this school to my enemy. The unprofessionalism is borderline criminal.

Immmersive bilingual curriculum: The score of this school doesn't take into consideration that each of the students are learning each subject in both Spanish and English simultaneously! The students would receive similar scores if the tests were administered in either English or Spanish.

The school has a very nice community feel to it and has many high quality teachers. Also the student-teacher ratio is low. I don't rate it as a great school because there is room for improvement, mainly in administration.
