This school is run by unprincipled individuals who do the bidding of the school board. A principal who recently challenged the failing math curriculum (put in place by the superintendent in her previous capacity) was pushed out, replaced by a more pliable administrator. Zero integrity here. Pretty much what you’d expect from a school whose main fundraiser is enthusiastically held each year at Donald Trump’s NJ home.

In the spirit of St Patrick’s Day, the teachers at this school, who have been working all year without a contract, have signs in their car windows that say “Stop The Shenanigans.” No slogan could better summarize how we feel as parents about this school district and the people who run it. Stop the shenanigans, indeed, and start investing more in our children!

The problems at this school are many. They begin with a shortsighted, penny pinching taxpayer base that inadequately funds the school district. This is a town that prides itself above all on low taxes. We actually once heard a resident at a BOE meeting debate gifted-program funding with a parent, asking why her tax dollars should help the other resident’s kid become a doctor! As if we don’t ALL benefit from doctors!! The school board is always looking to cut corners and does not invest in excellence. The high school Bedminster kids attend once had a wonderful International Baccalaureate program that was a casualty of this mentality and that of neighboring towns. Class sizes have been increasing and test scores are decreasing - not a good combination!! And woe to the parents of kids with any special ed needs, because these people will make your life impossible and your kid’s life miserable before they give them the help they need (if they ever do). They have had more than their share of lawsuits and out of district placements. And since even teachers and administrators are bullies, don’t expect much help from them when kids bully other kids. It will take a complaint to the state to make anything change. There are some wonderful teachers here, for sure, but mostly the faculty are complicit in a toxic culture that starts at the top and infects everything here. None of this is what you might expect from a town as blessed as Bedminster is, but there you have it, the sad reality. Buyer beware! You might want to buy that house in the higher-taxed town and save yourself the trouble of raising your kids in this one.

Not the worst school in New Jersey, but it’s far from the best.

“Incompetence with a smile” should be the motto here. Parents, beware!

Low standards, iffy grading, no homework, lots of “extras” - fun activities … but these come at the expense of just spending that time helping kids master the basics. An indifferent administration that’s not responsive to children’s unique needs, and does not like to be challenged. We’re new to New Jersey and had always heard how great the public schools were; so maybe this is just not the best district. Glad we’re only renting here and not settled here forever! Parents, beware and keep tabs on your children’s progress.

Mediocre teaching… a revolving door for many positions (multiple “specials” teachers, school nurses, school psychologists, etc., just in our 5 years there)… and an administration that clearly cares more about making their numbers than the kids. These are just a few problems for starters. As others here have said, communication with parents is a major problem, bullying is not taken seriously enough, and God help you if your kid has a learning disability because you won’t get them the help they need without a lawyer. We considered going that route but chose instead to use the money we would have spent on a lawsuit to just move our son to a private school. It’s really a shame, and a nice town like Bedminster can do better.

If low taxes are your priority, this is the school district for you.

A 1 out of a score of 10. There is no social emotional focus in this district that is followed through to include ALL students. Teachers are enabled to behave with mediocre to poor social emotional modeling. With a lack of leadership, huge lack of communication between administration and continued power to head of BEA with a history of bullying - it scores a low rating. As the school continues to lack of integration of students with special needs and inclusion students with meaningful and relevant to each students personal background, the fraction to improve can not begin to start.

We have been at Bedminster School for 5 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. The few times our child need a little extra help, the teachers usually recognized it before we did. Help was always given. Of all the schools in the surrounding area this is the place I would want my children and as a parent I feel extremely comfortable having my child there all day.

Not good. Communication seriously lacking. Challenge the administration and you will either be ignored or retaliated against. If your child has special needs of any kind, beware and document well.

This school should lose their federal funding, fire the administration and elect an entirely new School board.

Needs an administration who puts the students first. Front office needs to stop losing paperwork every year!

Great school! Great Community! The elementary school has small class sizes and great teachers. The middle school has a challenging curriculum and dedicated teachers. The only negative is the high administration turnover and apparent lack of concern and commitment to the students from administration. School could use a new school board, but overall, best town and school around! We purchased a home in Bedminster for that very reason.

The school is far more better than I thought before buying a house in the area. I have 2 kids that have or are in school district and have done very well. The teachers and facilities are top notch and above one cannot beat the student teacher ratio.

Currently, I am very concerned about the quality of education that our children will be receiving this coming school year. I have seen in the way that Bedminster school decreases the primary education goals year by year. They have a very high teacher turnover as well as staff one. The teachers do not show any compromise with the students. Furthermore, I do not recognize any leader in the community to encourage commitment ...we need to identify the qualified people for our Board Education as well as dedicated teachers and staff for the Bedminster Township School

This school has the smallest class sizes around. My son had 16 in his class and received a lot of individual attention from his teacher. The school has a great deal of technology (interactive white boards and netbooks). The building itself is very modern and every room is airconditioned. We've been very happy with the education my son has received thus far.
