The school district has gone downhill over the past few years, particularly the High School. Bullying is rampant, and principals do a poor job of reigning it in. Superintendent Aten is incompetent and over his head. The school district's handling of the pandemic has been laughable. This past year the school district has banned some books from classroom collections and has called for all books that may contain "controversial" subject matter be removed from classroom collections. Shame on the recent and current school board and district administration and principals.

Students are not very inclusive of each other. Bullying is a genuine problem, and ramshackle work done by the inept student council to combat these issues goes nowhere.Teachers consistently implement a busywork curriculum, and very little learning takes place.Despite being online due to the pandemic, nothing has changed and teachers still have little to no grasp on their classroom environment and how best to control it. I am very ashamed to be a current student here.

Bayfield is a great school for well rounded learning and extracurricular activities. The small school size contributes to more of a family feel with all of your peers and opportunities to excel in sports and clubs are supported in full force. My graduating class had a nearly 100% graduation rate and every one of my peers I have talked to are finding success either in college or in the working world.

I absolutely love going to Bayfield. The acedemic program is great. Both the music and sports programs are well ahead of their game as well. I love how at Bayfield, everybody loves everybody, and bullying and hazing are hard to be found. We are all friends with are peers, versus a big city school where you only know a select amount of people. Here, you know everyone's name; it's like a big family. The gifted program, could be better, yes, but for such a small town, it's fairly good. The years I've been at BHS have been the best years of my life. I love the community and the people who surround and support me. :)
