Through my experience, this is a good school. It improved since the 2010s. The people may be sub par but they have boundaries, and that's nice. The school building is below average but what can you expect from a middle school. Again. Nice school and classes are good. Everything's okay.

I feel unsafe in the halls and in the bathrooms

Seminole County from what I have heard from countless locals as well as my own research has what is supposed to be the best offering of schools. From the first day I set foot on campus with my son for open house I knew we were in for a long year. A few of the teachers barely were engaging during the open house and this turned out to be a foreshadowing of how the year would go. Teachers did not communicate on any level instead instructing you to check their online grading system Skyward. One of the issues with that was a lot of the teachers would not put grades in consistently and instead would input them at erratic times some even toward the end of the quarter. Even with this there were multiple occasions where I had to email teachers screenshots of "overdue" assignments that my son in fact had already done. On many occasions my emails to teachers were left unanswered and I had to get the principal involved to solicit a response from the teachers. When students had conflicts there was no conflict resolution instead giving both students referrals and no contact contracts regardless of who was at fault. I have personally witnessed the bullying at this school toward my son and their seems to be nothing in place the school does to prevent this besides lip service. The principal is the definition of politically correct as she just will tell you all the right things but does not hold teachers or staff accountable for anything instead siding with them in every situation regardless of a parent's concerns. It amazes me the reputation this place has for being a good school. I'd advise any parent enrolling their child there unless you want to spend your free time teaching your child what should have been taught in school. If your looking for "instructors" maybe this is the place to go but if you want your child to have an actual "teacher" steer clear...

Excellent school with caring teachers. Never had any issues with this school. Impressive communication with teachers

My son was so heavily bullied and they had no policy in place to protect him. It seems more like the kids are running the school instead of the adults.

The guidance counselor didn't seem to have much upstairs. The principal and guidance didn't want to explain the program or encourage enrollment in Dual Language, so no one would hardly sign up for it. Then they could say, "there wasn't enough interest" & that's why we had to cancel the program. Very disappointing. I can only think none of the administrators ever learned a foreign language in their life & don't believe it is worthwhile for anyone else either.

Horrible experience - my son was bullied so bad at this school, choked in the lunch room, locked in bathroom stalls, kicked in the lunch line, other parents were in the office waiting to talk to the principal for the same reason I was talking to them - Bullying.

I agree with most of the comments on this forum. 10 years ago it was a good school; not any longer. Teachers do not teach they are more worried about controlling the kids than teaching them. I also wonder how it continues to be an A/B school. My son would sit in class and listen to the teachers complain and scold students instead of teaching. Glad we are no longer there.

I'm currently a seventh grader at this school and I'm very passionate about learning and trying my best, but this school doesn't seem to support that too much lately. Teachers lately in class aren't really teaching, but complaining about my peers not paying attention, or scolding students. The administration doesn't really do much about it, and the lunches are crazily packed. A lot goes on that the administration and teachers don't know about (fights, cigarettes, girls wearing extremely provocative clothing. pda in the hallways, etc.) I just really wish the atmosphere and attitude of my school would improve. If you have a choice to choose Teague or another school, please really look into it. Teague isn't at it's finest anymore... Agreed, very overrated.

This school is seriously over-rated. Teachers are horrible and my children learned very little attending this school. I really can not understand how it continues to be an A+ school. Most of the students that attend this school are out of district. I have personally known over 10 students who did not belond in district. Lots of behavior problems at the school. Many of the teachers need to retire. I was not pleased with the education that both my children received and this school.

I am currently an 8th grader at Teague I use to go to wekiva elementary. I was a straight A & B student. As soon as I got to Teague in 6th grade I was picked on from the start. I am Hispanic and I would be picked on for the way I dressed and how well spoken. There is a lot of bulling at Teague when you try to report it all they say is we ll get to it and never do. The teachers are not respected in the classrooms, there is a lot of teachers who don t care about their students they re only there for the paycheck. There is also so much foul language at this school. I am so happy I am leaving this school, because this school was my biggest downfall! Teague is the type of school that is brought up in rumors and drama! If you are planning on attending this school just stay strong minded and only worry about yourself. You don t need the drama. - Submitted by a student.
