I have had 3 children graduate from Pike county schools. I now have 2 grandchildren attending. The schools have a great student to teacher ratio. Teachers are caring and truly treat their students as they are their own. While this is a review for the primary the high school also gets a shout out for the available dual enrollment, on campus classes (including AP), great STEM programs, and all around something for all students - State Baseball Champs too! Icing on the cake is the great rural community these schools are located in.

My son went here for prek and half of kindergarten before we had to move. The teachers are the most amazing people. They truly cared about him and made him feel loved everyday. The level of education they get at pike Primary is incredible as well. Mrs. Blount and Mrs. Butler are our favorite. :)

My daughter is in second grade and has been a student at Pike County Primary since Kindergarten and we thought the school was doing a good job until this year. Between dealing with my daughters first teacher, the Principal, Counselors and others, we have come to the full realization that the school is less concerned with the education of it's students than it is with it's perceived reputation. There are too many details to write in this review but my daughter who has never had a problem with school or any teacher she has ever had until this year. The school has gone out of their way to stonewall any progress we tried to make to figure out why this year was so different. They have lied to us about some steps they should have done already and the few things they did, they would always wait until the day of or right before we were scheduled for another conference to do them. Worst of all the school went out of their way to push the idea that our daughter has A.D.D. and that was the cause of the problem. The school did an evaluation and we took it to a doctor who proceeded to do his own evaluation who has informed us the schools eval, most notably the teachers, was completeley wrong.

I volunteer twice a week at Pike County Primary and i absolutely love my little girl's teacher. The new principal (my old spanish teacher from Pike County High) is friendly and really seems to care about the staff and the kids. I wouldn't want my little girl to go to school anywhere else!
