- Submitted by other on July 31, 2024In a two parent family where the parents are not married, it has been a horrible experience in school communication with BOTH parents. One parent has allowed excessive absences and truly nothing was done to enforce the truancy laws. EIP support good through elementary school but not so much at the middle grades. Not impressed with the counselor/social worker in this county. Child left behind. I do not recommend.

- Submitted by other on October 11, 2016My daughter is thriving at LCMS! She is a straight A student & they are on track or ahead of the surrounding counties' lesson plans. She is in extra curricular activities and has teachers that are involved and interested in her success. Our experience in the Lamar school system has always been a pleasure!
- Submitted by parent on July 15, 2012I have many good things to say about lamar county schools. The only problem i do have is the lack of communication from the school to the parents. If this were remedied I believe we would have one of the best school systems around.
