Great school! I'm in the IB Diploma Program and the only downsides I can think of is they give a lot of work but work that will help you for college. However it desperately needs more funding as a minority school the state does not give much aid and as a result we sometimes have to cut corners, yet we still managed to beat Scarsdale and Bronxville on rankings grade-wise. With the funding, it'd make a perfect five.

This school is amazing. It deserves a higher score. The teachers in the IB Programme are dedicated and knowledgeable and you come away being very prepared for college. As a recent college graduate I can say that a lot of the students in my class were ill prepared for college and complained constantly about tight deadlines and hard tests. I, however, was more than prepared for the rigors of college. It's one of the top schools in the country (according to US News). It's also one of the most diverse and has a tight knit feel despite the large amount of students (our class still gets together!).

My high school experience here was pretty good, coming from someone who just graduated two weeks ago. You will not find as much diversity in any other high school than you would in Yonkers Middle. It could be a lot better though. The school could be cleaner, the lunch could be edible, and the math department needs a lot of tweaking. Trigonometry and AP Calculus needs better teachers. The bilingual students need to learn and expand their English vocabulary more so the school's reputation can exceed where it is right now. The kids are so so. The IB program is good but there are a few who really don't care about their education so they think it's okay to fall back to community college.

Yonkers high school is one of the best high schools ever known . we have teachers who care and are with us till the end of school . The teachers work hard as well as the students. the school works together as one . with band,sports,art and more we are all proud to be bulldogs.

My daughter has received an excellent education here at Yonkers MIddle High School. She is being well-prepared for college. Her teachers show outstanding dedication. It is a fun school as well as a serious school. I am very happy with this school.

Having went there myself and enrolling in the I.B. diploma program, I can trust me children will do good in life if they go here.
