Words cannot describe how much of a positive impact Ancillae has had on my life. The first thing that comes to mind when i think of Ancillae is family, I am a recent alumnae and I cannot express how much I wish I could go back. Everyone was so welcoming, I built strong relationships with my teachers and my friends. Not only did it prepare me for high school, but it also gave me amazing memories to look back on. On a daily, me and my friends talk about how much we want to go back. I miss my teachers and friends. I still look back at all of my years and would seriously do ANYTHING to relive it. As a rising sophomore, it has been so hard to go highschool because it just dose not and will never compare to Ancillae. Whenever I go back and walk into the lobby, I am overflowed by warm and fuzzies and want to cry thinking about how much i miss it. Both of my parents think that it was the best decision of their lives sending me and my sister to Ancillae. The connections that they installed in the classes was amazing, when I left I not only had to say goodbye to my small group of friends, but the friendships of my entire class and the relationships I built with my teachers.

Save your money. My child is expected to act like an adult already and he is under 5 years old. Some of the staff are warm and inviting and the others are ignorant, rude and are not welcoming what so ever. They have a tendency to not call the parents if there are any issues with their child. The 3 most recent instances of any issues were not brought to my attention. It is very disappointing and disturbing that it is not being communicated to me what is really going on with my child within the classroom.

This school is great if you are very wealthy, Catholic and average/middle intelligence. My child was none of these. The bullying is out-of-control there; they have few resources for kids who are either gifted or fall slightly below average. They also don’t like students who aren’t “outgoing” and leaders. The emphasis on family wealth is the most concerning. They accept learning disabilities from families with tons of money, but if you aren’t going to pay full tuition AND donate, your kid better be very conventional. The administration is pretty unpleasant to be around—and if you are a parent who wants to volunteer, be rich and have social capital. The whole place gives a pretty “yucky” feeling.

Pre covid they were great. Struggles of post covid and declining enrollment are putting the school above the children. Coming from a Christian Brother background this is so, so wrong.

I spent 11 years at this school, and it was the best 11 years of my life!

The years I spent at Ancillae were some of the best and worst of my life. Being a timid and shy child growing up I was bullied during most of my elementary school years at the academy. I have always had a challenge in mathematics and the school did not help me keep up with the rest of the class until it was too late in my eighth grade year. The teachers do care about you if you are a academiclly driven rich kid, but if you have a child needing extra support that can not be left behind like I was, this is not the school for you. Yes, AAA does have a resource learning center that is good for studying or getting homework that is due next period done, but it fails at teaching you what you should know for exams. The "mean girl" situation has only gotten worst since my time at Ancillae. The girls only will be your friend if 1. You are skinny 2. Outgoing 3. "Popular" 4. Have money and finally and most importantly 5. Have a way at getting guys to like you and your friends. The girls peak extremely early and there is no sense of unity amongst the grades. Girls that graduate from AAA usually attend the same high school, after 12 years with the same bullies I decided to go to a different high school that no one usually attends from AAA. Ancillae is a great academic school, don't get me wrong...but if you have a challenge understanding topics in a certain way (I.g. Math) then make sure you have a tutor and extra support before you take enterance exams.
