Poor - My child has had one or two excellent teachers and the rest of the time got stuck with teachers who were known to the administration ineffective - which is unfortunate. I will not be sending my younger child there.

Glenside Elementary is a great educational community. I didn't rate the Principal's leadership, because the new one has not demonstrated her abilities yet (she starts Fall 2014), but the teachers have been caring, capable, and very supportive. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to get involved, and many do (always room for more, though). The new school building provides an excellent learning environment, and I have been very satisfied with the experience sending two children there.

Glenside Elementary is an excellent school with strong academics, experienced teachers, an extremely active and involved PTO, and a strong commitment to supporting all students from diverse backgrounds. Test scores sometimes suffer school-wide because there is a small group of kids who are not achieving due to socio-economic and other hardships, but the school district works hard to support those kids and help them achieve at the high level that all our other children do. The school is currently transitioning to a new principal for the 2014-15 school year.
