If one school makes a difference then that will be Yake Elementary School. They have been very supportive in every aspect when it comes to my child as well as other children. I'm very happy to say my child has enjoyed kindergarten - fifth grade here. She didn't want to leave!

Great school. Great Teachers. My kids have had a tremendous educational experience here. A wonderful environment for children to learn.

My son, who is a special needs student, attended Yake Elementary. It's a wonderful and supportive environment all around. The staff were incredibly helpful and compassionate, giving their all to help every student succeed. Now, my daughter attends Yake and it's even better than before (which I didn't think was possible). They have an on-site reading therapy dog, Wall-E, who the kids simply adore, they are teaching different skills and techniques to help the kids learn how to self-calm and de-stress (such as Yoga and Breathing), and there are so many outlets for creativity and self-expression, it's just awesome. Yake is one of the best schools downriver.

I go to Yake and it is amazing, I have so friends. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. If you are in trouble they are always there for you. The students are really happy ( in my opinion) . Everybody is amazing I just hate leaving that school. If anybody want to find a new school, I would pick Yake.

I would have to agree with everyone that has posted a review. My son was new to the school coming from another state into 4th grade. I have noticed him more sociable, more friends, happier, and he is still doing good in school, straight A's and was asked to be a security guard going into 5th grade. You wouldn't of known he was going through his parents being divorced.

I loved Yake too, but my children are at Riverview Schools now (school of choice) this year. Brownstown Middle School is scary!

My boys absolutely love this school! They wake up every morning ready to go ... which says a lot to me as a parent.

We love Yake Elementary - the staff and parents are the best. Our second child attends now and we love it as much now as we did when our first child attended. We wouldn't choose any other school.
