This school district has went downhill the past two years, the lack of ethics and leadership is disappointing, the school has failed in following proper Covid protocol s with multiple Covid-19 outbreaks distributing improper information that does not follow the state guidelines. The school district has also falsified the number of online students that are not in school full time to obtain funding, preventing those who qualify for low-income eligibility food programs while learning online from benefits that they would have been received if reported properly for food causing many families to be in despair who depend on the lunch program during the transition in the pandemic.Teaching has also went downhill, unorganized office.

I love this school, my son started here in kindergarten we then moved to Dearborn right across from a elementary school so I moved him there. I was so disappointed in the difference that I know drive him to Forest for second grade. The staff is great, the school is clean and the teachers are awesome. The parking is bad but the fact that I have a school across the street in walking distance and still drive my child here should say alot. Latchkey program is excellent as well. All around a great school. Principal Gribble is a great principle he's very involved from just making sure our kids get in and out if school safely to all the programs throughout the day. I love this school and plan to enroll my daughter soon. We will be pirates for some time to come.

Both of my sons went to this school. Great education and teachers but the parking is terrible and dangerous.

We are very happy with the new principal. He is data driven and is working to improve the school based on the data he has collected. He does not want any child to be left behind. He encourages parental involvement, good attendance and proper behavior. We were not impressed with the principal in the 11/12 school year so Principal Gribble is a welcome change! He has implemented the Watchdogs Program (Dads Of Great Students) and it is refreshing to see Dads (and Grand-dads) volunteering daily. The parent club is very active and has raised money to assist the teachers in the classroom as well as the playground. The teachers are attentive and caring but also challenge the children. They are also taking steps to make the school safter. A door lock/buzzer system was recently added to the front doors to assist in keeping the children safe. All other doors remail locked during the school day. The Riverview police can be seen in the parking lot/in the school making their presence known to deter any suspicious activity. We are dissappointed that the rating has dropped but we hope the new principal/teachers/parents/students are successful in raising this rating for the next year.

I'm a student. There's way too much bullying at Forest Elementary. I don't feel safe at school anymore.

The academic quality of Forest is excellent. Unfortunately, however, I'm not impressed with the latchkey program & the ongoing bullying problem at this school.

my child has been to 2 other school districts in the area. This is by far the best. The teachers actually teach.
