The weld re 4 school district as whole does not care about the students. Their care about their needs and political issues but they don’t care about the decisions they make effect the students. Their attitude it’s ok if 1000 kids are affected because the rest of the students are not. Allowing 6 people to make decisions for 1000 and 1000s of families doesn’t represent everyone. Stay away from weld re 4 find a better district.

When I was attending this school from the years 2013-2016 my experience was absolutely awful. I was bullied every single day and some of my teachers had witnessed a lot of this bullying and out right told me that they did not care. They had also said things to me to scare me out of telling my parents. My grades were also not good and instead of trying to find a way to help me and call my parents to help me, they told me I was making them look bad and that they didn’t know what to do with me.I was often humiliated in front of whole classrooms for things like forgetting my homework or asking someone to stop picking on me while the teacher was doing a lecture There were a few fantastic teachers that taught me a lot and they did help me with the bullies and they made a great effort to help me with my school work and I will be forever thankful to them.My experience at that school still haunts me to this day and I really do hope it will get better, but from what I have seen on social media and from word of mouth, the bullying situation is still not good.

Before I start on this review, I would like to recognize the amazing teachers that are supportive in such a horrible environment. Mrs.Lind, Ms.Mercer, Ms.Smith, Mrs. Royse, and Mr. Faherty made this school survivable. Now onto the review. In this school I have been bullied for 2 years now over my gender and sexuality. I have experienced an insane amount of discrimination. Racism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, if you can name it, it is in this school. When I try to report it to the administration, they use tactics like victim-blaming. They then do nothing about this. I love how the teachers teach and they usually don't assign too much homework. With mental health, they don't keep a safe environment or even try to and my mental health has suffered. The counselors are fine but they don't advocate for the children unless a parent gets involved. I hope this helps parents wanting their kids to go to this school.

The strengths at this school is that most teachers are nice, but bad students are often shown sympathy when they don't do their homework or when they don't complete their work. Rather than giving them a zero, or mark their assignment late like they deserve, students are given extra time while the students who complete work on time are not rewarded. Bullying is not taken seriously here. They sign a pledge at the start of the year, but students are constantly racially harassing and bullying other students. If your child is a person who wants to learn, be sure they hang out with a nerd/good friend group, or else they will be trapped in the dungeons of prisoners. Kids are the biggest problem here. Maybe 50 or less kids in each grade level are decent.

Love the teachers, the administration is a nightmare to deal with.

Our son initially wanted to attend Severance Middle School, and after a tour before his sixth grade year, he immediately fell in love with the overall vibe at the school. He enters 8th grade this fall, and is thrilled he made the decision to attend WMS.

I have been disgusted on numerous occasions through my child's three years at this school. From unethical sports practices, non-support from administration, to hostile office staff and teachers unable and unsupported to build a positive learning environment. Do not send your children to this school.

I agree with the other reviewer about bullying at the school. There are posters all over the halls dealing with bullying yet access to a counselor is all most nonexistent. The staff at the front desk seems to be the "gatekeepers" for everything. They seem to handle more issues than the rest of the administration staff. I agree with the "burnt out" attitude & rudeness of those 3 ladies as well. I've seen them handle situations with both parents & students alike which were troublesome. There is a definite lack of patience & professionalism. Maybe if parents were actually ALLOWED access to a counselor, the front desk staff would be friendlier. Their attitude is a direct result of having to take of too many duties in my opinion.I've never met the principal or even know who he is nor any of the supportive staff. I've only spoken to the nurse when she needed more info on my child's immunization records. The school has an amazing library with a lot of computers & even a couple of 3D printers. They also offer classes I've not seen offered in other schools; media production, computer programming, & broadcasting where the kids actually read the morning announcements on air; similar to a tv news show. They even offer a shop class still if you can beleive that! I found that to be pretty cool. The school is packed to capacity with the recent influx of families moving to Colorado. The school is currently undergoing renovation as well as the high school. A second high school is currently being built in an effort to aleviate the congestion as well. The student body has cliques just like every other school. In my opinion, there are a lot of upper middle class kids who haven't developed ethics or values who attend this school; A lot of entitlement issues. The teachers are great. Very engaging for the most part. You can tell the difference in style of teaching between the more experienced teachers vs. the newer teachers too. Botherwise seem to work well together. There are a variety of sports offered as well. The competiveness can be a bit much though. Some of the parents seem to forget this isn't professional sports we're talking about. Overall I think it's a good solid school. There is definitely room for improvement as with any school. No one school is going to be perfect.

Staff do not seem to ever want to lift a finger to help with anything your child might need that is out of there routine. They all do three bare minimum. I will say that there are a couple great teachers though.

This school is the best middle school I could have ever asked for. Sure every school has its week spots and areas that it could improve on but for the most part this school is amazing. I have gone to three other middle schools in Co. and this one is by far the best! The teachers are very flexible and will do anything to see you succeed. The staff is very nice and helpful. Overall, if you are looking for a middle school that will best fit your child, Windsor Middle is the best choice.

I love this school to pieces! I honestly can't think of anything wrong with it, and as long as you do what is asked, you will love it too. A personal favorite teacher of mine is Mr. Kathan, the sixth grade reading teacher. I know they have a great "no-bullying" policy and make sure kids have fun! You can be any type of kid to make it in this school!
