I'll start by saying all other reviews of this school previous to this are from before there was a change in principal. This school has shattered my child's self esteem. Denying supports that might help them succeed when recommended by professionals, constantly making them feel in "trouble" for struggling, teachers take away recess constantly (which is super counterproductive). It's time online reviews reflect the current state of this school, because reviews from before 2020 are not really valid any longer.

This is an excellent school. Teachers go above and beyond. It is a great community, great STEM program, and very welcoming feel. I would recommend Skyview.

Excellent! Everything about SkyView is exceptional, especially the staff. Every single staff memeber at SkyView seems to genuinly care about my children. My kiddos are growing by leaps and bounds every academic year.

Both my children attended Skyview, they loved their teachers and had a great experience. Their teachers cared about and they were well prepared for middle school.

Some good teachers but an appalling lack of discipline which starts on the administrative level. Students crawl around on the floor, sprawl out and climb on desks, throw food in the cafeteria, and one student even "mooned" his classroom on more than one occasion. No communication between playground monitors, teachers, and principal regarding misbehavior, no meaningful consequences or behavioral interventions, and parents often are not notified of even the most serious misbehaviors. Children with severe emotional problems and anger issues are tolerated and little effort is made to protect the innocent from their aggressive bullying or even sexual "acting out." This is a safety concern, especially for younger children.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone who asks; awesome Principal, fabulous teachers, great staff, even the lunch lady that was (and may still be there) genuinely showed attention and care to all of the kids. I have only a few minimal changes I d like to see for future students; more gifted talented teaching, less CSAP focus, more effort in noticing if a child is gifted and talented in a subject instead of waiting until the end of the year when the CSAP scores show they re gifted, and lastly, get rid of the black toxic smelling tire mulch. It only caused frequent nosebleeds for one of my kids that went there, but there are likely others, it even made me ill to smell/breath. I can t imagine the emissions are healthy. Our solution was to stay in the grass field especially when the tire mulch was new and gassy.
