Both our children have graduated from Willard High School. They were both extremely well prepared for very challenging university curriculum and were able to graduate with their degrees in 4 years. There are excellent opportunities for AP and Dual Credit classes, a variety of co-curricular clubs, and many athletic teams. My children had excellent relationships with the teachers...the staff is always extremely professional and helpful. This is an excellent school with a family atmosphere.

I absolutely loved my time at Willard High School. We unexpectedly left the country I call home due to an invasion a few months before I started my senior year here in fall of 2022. The teachers were all very understanding of minor issues I had because of this, and gave me margin whenever I needed it. I took as many advanced classes as I could, and was able to fulfill the requirements to graduate with an honors diploma and other recognition. My only wish is that the school offered more advanced classes. This school has many options for extracurricular activities, and I valued my time with the smaller, science and academics oriented groups. These groups were less popular, but this allowed the students who felt a passion for academics to compete at a new level, since everyone who was engaged cared very much about their learning.Almost everyone at the school is accepting and I quickly became friends with a large variety of people, broadening my thinking and scope on life. In the classroom, the teachers made sure that all who desired to understand the lesson understood, even if it took extra work. Outside the classroom, my AP Chemistry teacher organized times research times for our class at Missouri State University through a program called ACS Coaches. In addition to that, he provided opportunities for those of us seeking more scientific engagement to join various research groups at Missouri State University, an experience that has changed the way I view science. The professor I work with is very kind and supportive, and allows me freedom to explore what I find interesting. He gives me flexibility in times I can come to the lab, and helps me learn through any technical difficulties I have. In my AP Chemistry class, often our teacher would provide a free response question about the concepts we learned in the most recent video lecture homework, and if most of us answered correctly, he would take us outside before coming back in and going through the material more in depth. It was good motivation to do the learning and homework, and allowed us time to take a mental break during our chaotic days. Because of this strategy, nearly half of the students in the class received a score of 5 on the AP exam, pretty much unheard of.Overall, my experience at this school was amazing. I felt like I belonged and could contribute to the successes of our teams and academics. Having switched schools 11 times, I can definitely say that this was my best experience yet.

2 years into this "pandemic" and the overweight politically correct left-leaning "teachers" are still running around in masks. I used to work there and was made to feel uncomfortable for refusing to wear a face diaper to fit in after it became "optional". As a former teacher I know these teachers are pressed for time, but for god sakes it's been two years! Turn off CNN and look at the science.

My experience with this school isn't good. I don't exactly feel the safest here since there has been boys threatening girls to do certain things to them and yet not much was done about it, which makes me feel less safe. There has been certain threats as well that made me feel even less safe. Students do in fact get bullied here though, and not much gets done about it when it should be. Overall, my experiences have been awful here.

My kids have been involved in a number of sports, music and academic programs- all have been terrific experiences.

I went to Willard. I was an IEP student. While yes there was some favoritism, it was a very good experience. There are times when I miss the old High school. I never got to graduate in the new one. But I will always have my crowded hall memories, choir memories, I wish Mark Lawley was at Willard now, but I know he is doing amazing work at Drury.

Very disappointed with administration and the way they deal with parent complaints about teacher teaching abilities and conduct. A math honors teacher give the class 10 minutes of teaching then doesn't answer any questions or works out problems with students. But spends the rest of the time on the computer doing anything but teaching the class the rest of the session. She has them work on homework that the answers are in the back of the book, and doesn't help them. Teacher says to another student that asked a question about the problem and teacher states "I've giving enough information about it, its pretty clear". Many other parents have complained about this teacher as well. They need to clean house and get rid of the garbage. Many great teachers work and teach at willard, but there are a few that should consider changing their career choice.
