Excellent! I wish my child could stay at this school forever. He has gotten so far and loves school. I’m very thankful for the principal and staff.

I would urge any parent, especially ones with children that have learning disabilities, to stay away from this school. As stated the principal is not qualified for the position she holds (be it intellectually or emotionally). And the new fifth grade special education teacher is a terrible person. She is extremely rude to the children behind closed doors (she actually makes the children cry on occasion). She is also very rude, condescending, and childish to the parents. Where as there are a few exceptions to the rule here you really are best advised to search the surrounding area (sorenson) for better childcare.

We absolutely love this school! The small community feel and individual attention my son receives is wonderful!

This school is a great school. 3 of my children have attended or attend this school and I have been very happy with the teachers, staff, and principal. The principal knows every child by name and that shows me that the children are acknowledge and they take the time to know their students. Teachers work hard and implement the " every child goes to college" motto and this also shows how much they want our children to succeed. The school has great challenges for the kids like perfect attendance & reading challenges with great prizes that the children look forward to. My oldest is an Honor student and I thank West Whittier for that, they really guided him in the right direction. This school has a great leader, principal Dr. Soltero-Ruiz and excellent teachers, they keep you informed and on top of things. They welcome parent involvement and parents can volunteer as much as they want. West Whittier has a great pick up and drop off system which makes it easier and safer for the children. Overall this school is awesome with and awesome staff which has made my family and I proud to be a West Whittier Wildcat. Did I mention the teachers are Great!!!!!

West Whittier is a great school. I went to this school back in the 80's and now my children are students there. The teachers, staff, and the principal are very caring and want the best for the students. The principal knows every students by their first name, which makes our children feel special. Their motto "College Bound" speaks for itself! They have a great transitional K program that one of my daughters attended and it was beneficial as she moved on to other grades.
