It's a really good school, (I would say) because they do a lot of activities, the have homework help classes, they have after school tutoring. It's a really helpful school. I was doing really bad in elementary but now (in 7th soon to be 8th) I'm doing really good :) I really do recommend this school!

When we first moved in the area, I was so worried about my children’s transition to the new schools. It was my child’s first year of middle school, I was a nervous wreck! Katherine Edwards welcomes us and made us feel comfortable. The teachers are great and the office staff too! The principal is AWESOME!!! She helped my son get through a few bullying issues right away!!!! This is my child’s second year there and he loves it!

My daughter came from a small elementary school outside if the immediate area. She experienced some bullying at the elementary level but eventually overcame most issues there. When deciding on a middle school, I heard such negative things about Edwards. I, however, had known that Edwards was a good school. My son had graduated from Edwards just a few years before my daughter started attending. As a matter of fact, my son returned to Edwards to work on his Senior project,...which was based on his experience in Mr. Culton's music class. Edwards has helped to nourish my children's minds and hearts. The teachers are supportive. The kids are great. I feel badly for anyone who chooses their children's middle school based on the opinion of those who haven't experienced all that Edwards has to offer. If you are unhappy with your child's middle school, get involved. Keep your tax dollars working in YOUR community!! Thank you Edwards...you have helped me to raise one successful college student and you are currently helping me to raise a daughter who is a hard working leader!

I didn't think Edwards was a great school, and to see that they are just now paying attention to bullying sickens me, the school had a horrible bullying problem while my daughter attended there and they did absolutely nothing about it. I know that disciplining the kids at home is the parents job but we also depend on our kids to be safe with the school staff while at school and to be heard when they are being bullied and not be ignored by the staff,,, as far as the staff, they were just ok and thats not good enough

I have positive comments for the teachers my daughter has had. Many have stayed in at lunch or open their doors in the mornings to help her. The Honors class with Mrs. Herron could compete with schools in better areas. She was hard but wanted good things from my daughter. Her history teacher Mrs Eyeles made learning fun for a kid who hates history. I have negative comments about the office. I feel the principal is more concerned about what looks good. She is hardly ever available to parents. I finally had to threaten to go to the district before she would call me back. The office always seems confused. Like nobody knows what to do.
