  This is a great school!! Art & Music is provided to the students teaching them to appreciate & learn the differences it brings & helps students to find their own gifts & talents! Mr. Long by far is a fantastic principal! He is about the students, teachers & definitely takes pride in being the principal! He has an open door policy & is actively involved in school classrooms & activites year round.. overall rating on here is robbery of this school. it may not have all the bells & whistles, but it has great teachers (my daughters been attending since 1st grade & every teacher has been wonderful!), after school programs, and a wonderful principal who oversees them... never judge a book by its cover! You have to read it to truly appreciate the imagination it can create!!... that is Lake Marie! Its not the school itself that makes the student, but ratherr a child who hungers for knowlwdge & creativity & has a teacher who uses their heart & soul to teach is where you will find results!   Mr. Long is the best principal ever. He knows every student at the school. He's also an Education professor at Biola University & working on his PhD. You will always see Mr. Long when you're at the school. That's how involved he is. The teachers here are all amazing in their own ways. The librarian & staff are super sweet. I wish this school is more challenging. There are lots of school events: monthly movie night, mother's day & father's day (Donuts w/ Dads) celebrations, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & spring play where the kids dress up & sing for the school, annual school fair (community performances & sponsors attend), assembly for monthly scholars. The PTA is wonderful in putting together events & activities for the students. I wish there was the Spelling Bee contest again. I wish the students are able to incorporate music into their academic curriculum. I wish there was an after school program where the kids can play with balls, board games, etc & be supervised, not just Think Together. I wish the uniform policy was more strict & enforced. I see many students who don't wear uniform to school at all. I wish bullying was more enforced. ...More Reviews

  I had 3 of my kids attend Lake Marie the 2012-2013 school year, and I have to say it was the best decision I have ever made. The Principal Mr Long is always very involved with the children and I can honestly say he can name every child in his school. In regards to the staff they are always ready and willing to help the children succeed in their education. For any parent who feels the staff is not feel the staff does not help the students ecxell in their studies, my advice is how about YOU get more involved with your child education and not leave everything to the teachers.   Lake Marie is a great school. Mr. Long is the best principal ever! He is always there & you notice him. He's at all the school events and activities. My son has had amazing teachers who truly care about his education. My son does great in school A++ in math & spelling!!! If you ask the teachers for extra workfor your son during breaks, they will give great recommendations. Mrs. Frias is the best teacher there. She brings her adventurous yearly vacation into the classroom & the kids enjoy learning about it. The students do lots of art projects, which is displayed around the school.   this schools teachers do not help the students to exell there learning ablity if your suirous about leaning dont send ur cild here ...More Reviews
