This school is amazing because it provides a safe and rigorous learning environment. Students are taught to be responsible for their actions and they include a positive online rewards system (PBIS) where students see exactly what action they are commended for and earn points for rewards (treats and fun gadgets). As a middle school teacher myself, I admire the way this school is lead by Dr. Pena. The staff here works as a team-whether it's a health need, engaging electives, socio emotional support, or questions and concerns about grades. The journey for my preteenager at Granada is going by way too fast. Somedays I wish I could stop the hands of time. Thank you with all of my heart for providing my child with a memorable and well rounded middle school experience.

I wasn't looking forward to sending my daughter to middle school. Middle school years are awkward and somewhat scary... I know because I worked with middle schoolers. As a parent, I was nervous because I knew how middle school was, but I believed in our Granada faculty and staff. I knew my daughter was in good hands and she was going be fine. She excelled above and beyond, became a leader, and is now ready for high school. We will miss Granada, that's for sure! It takes special people to work with middle schoolers. Thank you for 3 amazing years!

Previously Granada was a school I could not wait to send my children to. Now I can’t wait for them to be done. And my little ones who are not old enough yet, will not go to school here as long as Mr. Pena is the principal. Recently a student took a BB gun to school, that looked like a replica hand gun, multiple vapes and cartridges and a large half drunk bottle of liquor and this student only got suspended for two weeks. The student even took pictures of the items while they were in the principals office, like it was a badge of honor. The only reason anyone found out is because said student was bragging to their friends and had posted the picture on social media. Parents were not informed of the safety concerns or situation. I would recommend people to not send their students here if you can help it. There are plenty other good schools in the area.

Absolutely love this school! Both our girls are thriving. All the teachers and staff are amazing and make us feel like a family. We have been in this Institution for several years and love the individual attention given to every student. During these hard pandemic times, I have complete trust that the school has done amazing at keeping our kids and staff safe. We hope to continue to be part of the Granada family.

I love this school. The food is great and people really learn. Also children in special ed are really loved. There is also little to no bullying whatsoever!

Our experience at Granada has been a nightmare. The administrative staff is completely unprofessional and ill mannered they definitely lead by example their bad attitudes has trickled down to the teaching staff. Most of the teachers are comfortable in their positions, don't provide student's proper assistance and when questioned get argumentative and defensive. If your child has special needs then do your child a favor and send them to a school that actually has qualified and professional mannered staff.

Our experience at this school was just awful. The office staff was absolutely terrible, it was truly unbelievable how unprofessional they were. Personally, it seemed as though parents were brushed off when voicing concerns of student enrolled in the school or even ones own child. Enrolling our child here was a huge mistake.

Granada Middle School is an amazing school. Earlier negative reviews are out dated. The current staff and principal create an incredible environment for kids!

Finally a distinguished school! Granada was finally recognized for the years of hard work the teachers, staff, and administrators have been doing. This is a great school with a caring staff.

The bullying at this school is horrendous! I know what its like because i WAS a student here. My last day here was less than 10 days ago. Its sad because the teachers do a good job and are caring, but my classmates ruined it. I also wish the school was more focused on academics rather than on making the school look pretty. I mean they raised 25,000 dollars and decided to spend it on unecessary decor to the school, yet theres no library ! What the heck?? Well anyways, if you plan to send your child to this so called "good school" i suggest you do not. The bullying is horrible and the counselors dont care. This place is a mess.
