This school is very big and my sons teachers some are on top of there grades and making sure they turn in assignments so they don’t fall behind they work with ur child and what they need the counselor is super attentive

I've put both of my kids through Benton, and I think they have received an amazing middle school education. The block schedule allows for minimal homework, and the staff is friendly, accepting, and supportive of the students. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to volunteer and be a part of the school community. The office staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and approachable. The Principal, Ms Ridgeway, is someone parents can talk to, and kids see as authority. I love the focus on the art, while not allowing the traditional scholastic classes suffer. This school also has more sport trophies in the past few years than most of the schools in our district. Benton also has more NLM Teachers of the year than any other middle school in the district! That's saying a lot! Go wolverines!

Amazing school, would really recommend, the experience in the school is overall great. Teachers really help with homework when needed, some fights here and there but it is handled quickly and with care. Our chorus, band, and orchestra are really sounding great, most of my friends have really good grades and so do I, if your thinking of putting your child in this school, don’t think twice because this is such a beautiful school. They handle punishments fairly. Awesome school 100% recommend! :)

i do not recommend this school. my daughter keeps complaining that her math teacher is not very good. my daughter has stated, “my teacher does not teach, my friends teach better than my teacher does. it is so hard.” ever since my daughter has had this teacher for accelerated math for 7th grade, her grade had been an D. i DO NOT recommend sending your children here. my daughter is failing because of her. my daughter said that the math teacher is rude and does not help anyone. the math and science teacher is not good. it is excruciating seeing my daughter fail both of her favorite subjects because of the teachers.

the math teacher stinks and students that understand her teaching only know it because they already learned this or went to tutoring. And the mom honor science teacher for 7th grade is bad at grading. Also she forced my kid to sit next to a child that doesn’t shower for 3 DAYS!! He probably has lice!! The teachers are so bad at planning! My kid has been stressing for 5 weeks because all of her teachers have been planning tests ALL THE TIME! And the other science teacher, is so STRICT! my daughter ran home crying because of her science teacher! who makes a child cry! The art teacher is so sexist and favorites only the boys. My daughter once said they made her class the whole room! Why can’t she do it herself? She gossips about my daughter and it’s aggravating me! also the PE teacher is definitely into little girls! Once my daughter was changing and he barged in without a warning! Gosh!!

This school has a very nice campus, but the academics need to be more rigorous. Overall, this is a nice school.

I just moved to the area and my child started Benton MS and so far it’s been an amazing school the Principal is awesome always on top of her students and communicates with us seems like she really cares for the students and school

This school is honestly amazing. They have the best VAPA program, a great principle, and amazing teachers. Definitely recommend!

Top Notch school! The newer principal is amazing and this school has made leaps and bounds in progress. Also, the campus has been remodeled and the school is beautiful. These students have an amazing band and theatre facility along with a brand new track, exercise equipment, basketball and volleyball areas. The list goes on and on and I could not recommend this school anymore. All the teachers truly care for the students and put their heart and soul into teaching.

Benton middle school is a great school. My son has so far enjoyed it very much. His grades are excellent and he has also been given the opportunity to play the piano. The teachers are great, anytime I have a question, I email them and they get back to me in a very timely manner.

I have never seen an AP who cares so much for her students. She is far from cruel. If your child is misbehaving and requires discipline from the AP she is fair and just. Only repeat offenders are hit with harsher punishments such as in house suspension. I feel that Ms. Rebholz gives the students EVERY opportunity to turn their behavior around. I also believe that some parents refuse to see the writing on the wall and admit that their children are in more serious trouble than they are willing to admit.
