This school is fine, except that the principal there is very rude. Her name is Kim Kroyer. She yells at everyone, even people that don't go here. She is NOT polite and she is a principal but doesn't act like one. She doesn't respect anyone and questions everything, like a detective. She yells and points out the parents, staff, and students. She scares everyone and because of her, this school is going to lose stars. She won't let anything get away without questioning it.

My daughter has been at Carrillo for 3 years now. She had a WONDERFUL TK and K experience and now she is having a FABULOUS 1st grade experience. The teachers at this school care about these kids as if they’re their own. My daughter is learning the value of education, reading, responsibility, relationships, discipline and FUN all at the same time. Her teacher has a great personality, she’s fun, witty and my daughter respects her. She is excited to wake up and go to school every morning. After school she walks out with a smile and gets in the car and unloads about what she’s learned that day. She can’t wait to show me what’s in her backpack. I can barely get a word in on the way home! The teachers here are dedicated and they care. I can drive through the neighborhood at 5:00 on any given night and my daughter’s teacher is still there in her class. Dedication. My daughter still talks about her TK and K teachers to this day because they had such an impact on her and taught her the “routine” of school and gave her a platform to build on. They made me smile then and they make me smile now knowing that had such an impact on her school experience. I drop my daughter off in the morning and I know that she is in the best hands possible outside of our home. It’s time for more parents to get involved. I volunteer when I am able but we all need to be involved and see how our kids learn and interact with others. Our children learn so much at school that they will need in life. The staff and Principal at this school should be commended for their dedication and hard work with OUR children. THANK YOU!

This school is HORRIBLE. I've never experienced something so bad.I was at this school for 6 years. When i had my promotion,i felt like i was free. There is this one teacher,my 5th grade teacher,in room 22. My original teacher retired and this teacher came in as a replacement. Class of 2012. Where are you? Do you remember the teacher everyone used to complain about in 5th grade? She was horrible. I would stay up at night and just not want to go to school. When i wake up,i was afraid of going to school. She was such a horrible teacher. She made one of my friend cry. WE'RE 5TH GRADERS. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM US? I get mad just thinking about this subject. I guess its time for me to end this.

I love this school because I can trust my kids with their teachers. I volunteer often and I know that the teachers at this school truly care about their students. They often stay late to prepare for the next day and I've never heard them complain. All those that complain about this school aren't complaining when they drop their kid off and sit at home to do nothing.

I have all the rights to complain and judge this school. I enrolled in this school on September 2006. I'm now going in 9th grade. I'm going to be in a whole different district. So i'm going all out. Don't worry. I'll go after my middle school too. These schools. Like what the person below me says. These teachers are so disrespectful. I would want to punch them. I did have the same teacher as the person below me. Jamie S. I would give out her last name, but lets just say im alittle too kind to do so. I remember during free time,i was talking to the students on my table. She looks over at us and called us all up one by one. She was the reason why i failed most of my tests. I did have sleepless nights. Not wanting to see her face in the morning. It ruined me. I wanted to transfer out of school. That horrific teacher gave me nightmares. That STUPIN teacher. All of my 5th grade class hated her. I don't ever want to look back and see her as a memory. She was my nightmare. She was someone i hope i would never come across I just cant believe i went through so much pain only being 10.It felt like someone shot me and i couldn't get up till the end.I hate you Jamie so much.I hope the worst 4 u

Leo Carillo Elementary School is not great! I am parent and has a toddler that goes to the school and oh god the teacher and teacher aides are unfriendly and unprofessional. I personally witnessed and experienced it today for the first time on my first visit to the campus. The staff dressed in home clothes and they yelled at me for going being too close to my son. I don't feel like the staff cares about the student but merely just their paycheck. I wish I had more income so I can enroll my toddler son in a private pre-school. I think the pay pre-school should have more caring and attentive teacher and staff helpers. I hope I am not the only parents having these experiences. I just wish the principal and vice principal review their staff more often and more selective in their hiring practicing. I just wish my toddler son get a quality education with caring teachers and supportive teacher aides because the future of America is depending on the youth of today. I hope my comments are read and I pray their will be action to correct the problems. Our Children is our society's and country's most precious resources for a better tomorrow and future. Please select qualify staff! Thank You!

I have two children in this school and I love the kindergarten teachers and 1st grade but after that I'm like ...... They r nice for the most part but I don't think they help as best as they can because so many children don't speak much English then u have these parents that r all over the place when u drop or pick up your kids.... So frustrating! Next year my children will be attending different schools.... This school is rated a 6 and I see why! Sorry ....

The school secretary there at Carrillo is the first person I met at this school and she came off rude, argumentative and insensitive. I thought I just got her on a bad day, but I received the same icy welcome again recently. All of the other staff there is extremely kind and helpful. I would give the school 5 stars if it wasn't for the sour apple.

Leo Carrillo Elementary is a great school! My son goes to this school and he gets the help he needs. The teachers and staff members work great together as a team to help the needs of students. :) I am happy my child goes to this school.

I love this school. My daughter was Class of '13! Her years had been wonderful here. I think this school is one of the best from GGUSD. Teachers are really fun and sweet. Two of my kids have gone here. One will go next year for kindergarden.

I LOVE Leo Carrillo Elementary school!!! I was worried about what school I can trust with my kids so the first month or so I was there all the time and got to meet the teachers, Principal, and Ladies in the office. I know I made the right choice with where I placed my kids. Thank you teachers!!!!

I was once a student their and I can say that this school is unfair and curel to some of their student and that even some of the teacher's that teach their have no respect and they do not care for their students I was miss treated their when was enrolled in that school so parents please don't always believe what the teachers or principal of that school tell you about your child.
