I have two boys who are wrapping up their third year at Bethany Christian Academy. One is finishing 2nd grade and the other is closing out 6th. Both of my children are the least anxious they've ever been about school. My oldest started off in public school and had such bad anxiety about doing something wrong, we had to put him in counseling. Now he is confident, faithful, and has learned to utilize his coping skills while attending to rigorous academics. In his three years at Bethany he has developed a deep relationship with god, strong academic achievement, a hilarious sense of humor and life long friendships. He has played on the Volleyball team and participated in Math olympics. He score 85th out of all the participating 6th graders in the United States of America. He also has developed a desire to improve his academic skills. My second child at BCA has learned so much over the past three years. He too has a strong relationship with Jesus and enjoys praying, worship and learning about the bible. The amazing teachers he comes in contact with everyday know him incredibly well. He tends to take things to heart a bit more than other kids his age. The teachers have worked hard to instill confidence and teach him coping skills that will serve him well his whole life. He has learned a high level of math and ELA. He participated in Math Olympics also and was 35th among all participating 2nd graders in the United States. He has been in several plays and musical productions the school puts on. He especially enjoys art and we are thrilled he learns about art at BCA. He has also participated in speech meet, Boys Crew (dance team), and all the extra classes that get offered for example, Mad Science. BCA has lead with love and logic. It is a warm and welcoming place to be. I appreciate the open communication with the new principal and staff as well as the many opportunities for family involvement. My kids have joy in their hearts, a strong love for Jesus and a high level of rigor in academics. I whole heartedly recommend BCA to any family looking for a faith based school with a small town feel.

Bethany was great for my son for a few years. Unfortunately The new principal and new teaching staff ended up not working out for us. If your child has any type of behavior emotional disorders and or ADHD expect to have suspensions and voluntary vacations rather than solutions. I was told the teacher was overwhelmed with her class of 12 students. I also witnessed the fact she had no control over her class and the students showed very little respect to her. The lack of communication was unacceptable to me as well.I pulled my son when I was told the teacher and the school were not equipped for children with *behaviors* like my child.I was then charged $250 for breaking my contract even though they couldn’t provide what I was paying for….

I would not recommend Bethany Christian to a family looking for a private school in the area. While I do believe they have good Christian values the recent administration change this year has not been a positive one. The new principal was very dismissive of my concerns that my son’s teacher did not have adequate control over the classroom and as a result my son continually came home complaining of an inability to finish his work due to other children being disruptive. The school has also hired several first year teachers to replace ones who retired this year and is not what you would expect when paying for a private education. The principal also chose to hold school on Veterans Day this year despite all the local public schools being closed without any regard for what families thought on the matter. The new schedule instituted this year is very confusing as the children now have a half day every other Friday creating a planning nightmare for working families. Overall I was disappointed in all the changes that happened in the 2022-23 school year and made the choice to leave as a result.

Our child has been at Bethany since preschool and BCA was an easy choice when it came to our child's education. It's wonderful to see the growth in our child academically, focus and confidence. We have been extremely happy with our teachers over the years and our child loves to go to school everyday. The teachers are encouraging and supportive.

Our daughter has been with Bethany since pre-school. We highly recommend this school if you are looking for a quality, Christ-centered education. We originally wanted to homeschool, but after seeing how well our child did at Bethany, the bonds she formed with her teachers and the confidence and social skills she gained, we are sold. She is so excited about learning and hearing God’s word.

Finding Bethany Christian Academy was such a blessing for our family. This small private school is bursting with love for its students and each teacher goes above and beyond to ensure each student gets the engagement they need to thrive. Our family has been with BCA since before the pandemic and with their support and loving effort our child never fell behind. At home online school was such a challenge, but BCA made every effort to ease the process and meet all state/county guidelines to get kids safely back in person when possible. Whatever your background, you are welcome at BCA. The staff and faculty love God and in turn share His love and truth in all they do. I 100% recommend Bethany Christian Academy and look forward to seeing how my child and the school continue to grow.

We moved our daughter from public school halfway through her 6th grade year and she is a completely different person - happy to attend school, loves her friends and classes. The teachers and staff care so much about the school. I can call the school and they know me and my daughter. It is just a different atmosphere and environment. She is learning the Bible at school and being taught biblically what salvation looks like and what a Christian life is. Considering moving our son here as well.

We transferred our son to Bethany Christian Academy to repeat 1st grade because he still couldn’t read after K & 1st grade at a public school. He is now thriving at BCA. The smaller class sizes mean our kids get more individual attention. The teachers are very caring, and I couldn’t ask for a better school. We plan to keep him here through Jr. High because the Jr. High students that I’ve spent time with are great kids, with good morals & integretity. This is a safe, Christ-centered environment. I highly recommend Bethany Christian Academy.

We are new to BCA this year. I have been so impressed by both the staff and students at Bethany. Small class sizes and great teachers make this school so special! My kids are being challenged academically, plus they are enjoying all of the great extracurricular activities like art, music and sports.

Our oldest son started kindergarten this year and LOVES this school. He has always learned new skills quickly and at this school he is challenged to learn more and continue to keep on learning instead of staying with the pack. The parents are encouraged to help out with the classes and are given opportunities to drive for field trips, help with lunch duties, and be in the classrooms whenever needed. Our second son is currently enrolled at the preschool and adores his teachers. The preschool teachers are kind and gentle and loving and the students are given many opportunities to play and learn through creative play. We can't wait until our youngest son is old enough to attend this school!

I attended Bethany Christian Academy for seven years, 2nd grade through 8th grade. I feel I got a great education there! I came from a public school that had a classroom attendance of 40 with 1 teacher. It took some of my second grade year to get caught up, to eventually be grades ahead of the national average. My three girls now attend Bethany. One has special needs and has received great attention, and because of it is at or ahead of where she should be for her grade. My middle child is also ahead of her grade level. They both love their friends and are loved by the teachers. The third is in the preschool (Bethany Christian Preschool) and already knows how to spell her name and is beginning to read. She is ready for kindergarten according to state standards and just turned 4. Enough said, we love Bethany!
