Universal Learning Academy is a good school that has a broad based and realistic curriculum with subject matter chosen not only for its relevance to higher education and jobs, but also for family and community membership and personal enrichment. It uses teaching practices that simulate the way people live in the outside world.

My kids attend this school since they were in PreK. The atmosphere aligns with our values and culture, very safe and advanced. My daughter receives extra curricular activities with one on one support. I can’t say enough as I am very satisfied.

I have a first grade student with special needs and a sixth grader. The school's special education department does an amazing job finding solutions and support services. Teachers use differentiated IXL and Raz kids to help make the content easier for students in need of accommodations. Social emotional learning and training is always targeted and scheduled every year.

I couldn't be a happier parent. We moved from a different city and found ULA around our neighborhood. I could tell right away how professional and hard working Staff is. Teachers keep parents updated through class dojo and also Google classroom which is not something you see in other schools. Assessment policy is fair and kids always get progress reports to keep them aware of their academics. Students get character ed lessons along with leadership venues and opportunities.

My kids attend ULA from PreSchool. It is the best school ever. Safe environment and strong leaders. The academics are above and beyond what many public schools offer. They have high expectations of both their students and staff. If you care about your kids, take them to ULA.

DON'T TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!! Half of the teachers can't speak English. In some classes, I can't understand a word they're saying. All the good teachers are leaving, and some of the replacements are good, but there are some teachers that instead of teaching us, they make us sit in a chair and listen to them yell at for 10 minutes about how one person forgot their notebook and she is not going to get it. Also, in some classes, I didn't learn a single thing this whole year. Everything some teachers are saying is explained terribly, and they seem to know nothing about the subject their teaching. It makes me question if they are even certified! Most of the other reviews are older, which makes sense, because this school USED to be good.

Universal Learning Academy is a Great school for both students and parents. My students Love the school and the teachers are Great. The school offers lots of great programs for the students both fun and educational. This School year my kids were so excited to have the frozen characters read and sing to them during a assembly, and they also had the Detroit tigers mascot which all the kids enjoyed for reading month. I would highly recommend this school to any parent. This school has a great principal who thrives for the best for all students.

At Universal Learning Academy, principle and the dean of students are on top of everything. They always followed up with parents in regard of student s achievements and behavior. I always come to the family engagement sessions that Mr. Takkush does it for the parents on Friday of every month. I have two kids in the school. This is my Fourth year at the school. I am very pleased with the elementary teachers too. They are great. This school is awesome.
