Communication is terrible. Kids are bullied daily with no punishment for bullies. There's a ton of places the cameras can't see so blind spots where kids can get hurt. Spent a week trying to get my Parent Connect info and they still gave me the wrong one after telling me I'd received it previously. The parking lot before and after school is an absolute nightmare. They know this. Nothing will ever be done. Literally one person in a safety vest could fix this. Almost get in an accident every morning because these terrible driving, no licence having parents think they're a gods gift to the planet. Not to mention kids almost getting hit by cars. This school skirts by for barely being acceptable. Great first year in the school district *eye roll*.

Worseee school ever!!! So much bullies, everything on tik tok happens here the next day. There’s a dress code but the kids don’t care and neither does the staff. They go in half naked and they’re welcomed yet when your child has a hoodie on their head they’re attacked until the take it off. The principal isn’t taking matters in his own hands. The worse school I’ve ever seen.

I am happy with this school, but there are some bad children there, but I do not care about them, but this school is good because I am suffering, as I do not speak much English, but I speak Arabic, and some students may help And some teachers may help in some of these cases. I am a student in the seventh grade and this school gave me motivation. I thought it would be bad, as in the comments, but it is not that. But so far I am alone and I am excited about secondary school and going to the eighth grade. Trust me.

these kids will steal bully vape and fight and no one will do anything about it. this school is a nightmare and never send your child here especially if your child is a person of color.

If your child is African American do not send your child to the school. My son has been bullied and picked on and called the N-word multiple times by all of the students. The black children are outnumbered and they are and will be bullied. The administration does absolutely nothing to help our black students. Nothing is being done as far as suspension or expulsion. My son will never attend the school system again.

(p.s) Theres no fights at all.

My experience at this school has been very torturous and cruel, all I experienced the past 4 years was pure misery and poor teaching... But it was a good experience overall and i enjoyed it.

There are some wonderful teachers here, but a lot of them, like many of the parents, seem to be increasingly frustrated. The learning environment is so chaotic. There are frequent fights, on the grounds, in the halls, even in the office. Bullying is not only rampant, it seems to be accepted by most of the administration. There are exceptions, and bless those few individuals. Advanced courses have been reconfigured and individual student advancement and accountability seems to be irrelevant. If your student is average and a disciplinary problem, this is absolutely the place to be.If your student is different, expect them to be harassed, bullied, and even threatened. It's so disappointing, at least one of the feeder elementary schools is amazing, and the high school seems to be somewhat better, but this school has a revolving door of administration. Very few seem to care about much other than addressing the latest Tik Tok challenge or the other behavioral problems. This is neither a supportive nor inclusive environment, and it is appalling.

Stay away or pull your cold out. We pulled out child out before the end of the year after getting assaulted. We didn't even allow our younger one to step foot there. After losing a federal lawsuit in 2014, the whole district has implemented a ridiculous 5-strike discipline policy as not to suspend "certain students." Only emboldened the bullies and the school is out of control. The staff is subpar to deal with the students and administration is utterly useless and always kept pointing the finger at the School Board for all the problems (partly true) but never accepted responsibility for creating a hostile learning environment for many students.

I am a student at Riverside Middle School and let me just say, it's terrible! It has the worst teachers that you could think of. The teachers are extremely strict and will find anything to get you in trouble. They are also really unprofessional. There is many teachers that will also accuse you for things and get you in trouble. It has happened to me before and the Dean of Students told me that they have to believe the teacher. If you are a parent reading this to see if you want to put your child in to this school. It will be a big mistake. This school is extremely unprofessional.

-Staff unprofessional and uncaring, some are rude! -Bullies everywhere and out of hand and staff does not do much about it -Courses and materials does not yield in the advancement of the students I feel like the student takes the same thing for two years. I have two children in Riverside and they come home with mispelled work, wrong work, missing work and I later find out that the teacher looked over them!! This happens all the time!!

riverside is a very good school. I loved it. the diversity is amazing, and the students make you feel welcomed. the teachers are excellent. they have this program called student to student., it is when a student helps a special education student. the special education students understand the students more than the teachers because they pick well students who are able to help and motivate the student to learn. the teachers are very good and teach well.

Riverside Middle School is a D rated school. The staff are not held accountable and seem unmotivated, the principal is not an effective leader and makes excuses, and parent volunteers are not encouraged nor welcomed. I am an involved parent with high expectations of my children first, staff second. I've tried to be communicative with my child's teachers and have gotten resistance & even attitude. I've had issues with teachers marking assignments as missing, however the assignment would have a red check mark across the top. The few times I've come into the office, I was not greeted warmly. I've offered to volunteer on my few days off, and no one seemed eager to find anything for me. I don't take it personally, because the staff doesn't know me; it's pretty much the culture of the school. Dry, cold, and unfriendly. I've expressed concerns to the principal regarding my child possibly needing help in areas of reading/writing and he stated all the kids are struggling at the school and that's something they're trying to work on. Well, I can only speak for my child, not an entire school. I'm disappointed with Riverside and have ALREADY paid the full tuition for private school this fall.
