My grandchildren has been going to this school sense pre-k and two of them has graduated to middle school and I have a granddaughter still attending and she love her teachers very much I’m proud to have been apart of this school for over five years I volunteer time to time.

This school encourages the students and their families to stay engaged with the school activities and the teachers. Vandenberg really demonstrates the ideal school for the community.

My experience with Vandenberg Elementary has been wonderful they have a good communication system, support system, and great policy’s. The community is beautiful as well.

Lisa Hughes is the absolute worse principal she sent my son home from kindergarten to the second grade pretty much everyday completely denying him his right to an education because she didn’t want to deal with him such a shame is is still employed if I could give this school 0 stars I absolutely would I would never let my kids attend this school again and I wouldn’t recommend it either unless she no longer works there

I think Vandenberg is a great school I don’t have too many issues with the school may be a little bit with the cleaning, but for the most part, the school is great the teachers communicate great I haven’t had too many issues with my child or my children at the school so I would say all in all the school is a good school to send your child if you live in the area

I can not express how much I loved this school. Mrs Hughes was personable. The teachers went the extra mile and was engaging with students and families. Education was stressed and a lot of activities were incorporated to make learning fun and easy. I’m going to miss Vandenberg now that my daughter is going to middle school. Vandenberg definitely set the bar.

Vandenberg is a great school. I really appreciate the family engagement. There are many opportunities through out the school year to participate in your child's education. Additionally, the staff are friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the use of ClassDoJO which is an excellent source of communication.

Overall I adore Vandenberg! Principal Hughes is a rockstar and my sons have had amazing experiences with homeroom teachers. The elective teachers specifically could use some cultural awareness training. I would hate for the experience students and families have begin to diminish due to a lack of awareness and understanding.

The teachers, staff and administration at Vandenberg are priceless. They've all had a positive impact in my children's lives, both who are special needs. Students thrive at this school because their instructors, aides, principal and support staff love them as their own. Each child is greeted by their name. Parents are always greeted with smiles and in the know when it comes to any issues with their children. Educators deserve more than flowers, a positive survey or a week of appreciation. Their salaries should match their passion and hard work! They're worth every penny! We need to work harder to retain the gems in South Redford Schools.

Vandenberg Elementary is one of the best schools in South Redford. As a parent of 4 Vandenberg graduates I can attest to the great and talented educators at this school. The diversity of the South Redford community is shown in its teaching selection. The dedicated personal attention by the teachers and the staff and their assistants truly makes this school one of the best in the district.

Had some major up and down with this school. Before Covid the school lacked in many areas. Such as assistance with additional learning help. Out of class activities that interested the kids.

I love my children teachers they are loving and caring and I commend all of the teachers at Vanderburgh for the patients and the caring of our children and the principal as well they go over and beyond to try to assist the family in any way that they can.
