Overall, I liked Armstrong better than any of the other schools in the Westborough District. There is one minor gripe—when my third grader asked me what was a “coyote”, and she wasn’t talking about the wild dog—is a book about Honduran immigrants who utilize the services of these smugglers of illegal immigrants really such an appropriate reading selection for a third grader?! Really?! And yes, she did find that out in a selection of books in her teacher’s classroom, as it isn’t a term we use at home.

I find the opposite to be true of the other reviewer that made negative comments. Armstrong and its staff go out of their way to make ALL students feel comfortable and welcome. They value each student and know every child by name. The environment is amazing you feel like you are part of family all with the same goal to have your child succeed. The Parent Group is top notch, the Principal is super involved and cares about each and every student and family, and the teachers care so much and are open with communication. The kids learn not only what is needed, but life lessons too. I could not ask for a better school for my two kids and I have extremely high standards. I love Armstrong and I am super proud to send my kids to such an extraordinary school!

An amazing school that honestly is a wonderful community. It is beautifully diverse and all about families and how beauty is found in our differences. Very strong family involvement, warm intelligent teachers and staff, love this school!!

Common Core crazed! Save your children! Picture Perfect on the outside unfortunately everything is not as it seems.

This school does next to nothing for children with special needs or children who are advanced. They are hostile to students or parents who raise any questions or ask for any personalized treatment. Teachers don't provide feedback on students progress and links to a general school update seem to have replaced communication between teachers and parents. Report cards are only available online and the login system has yet to work for our family.

This school has a great parent group. They are very welcoming and encourage new ideas and suggestions. There are many opportunities for parents to be involved at this school.

Armstrong is a perfect example of a neighborhood school - our incredible staff create a school environment that is safe, caring and inclusive. At Armstrong they truly care about teaching our children all that is important and good in the world. I've now had three children go through Armstrong School and I can't imagine I could have provided them with a better situation in which to learn and grow and flourish.

This school has a really warm family like atmosphere, but has a very diverse student population. This is our 4th year there and we've never had a major problem or concern, and they have been great with managing 504 plans for my kids. My only wish for improvement would be more "green" initiatives and conservation education.
