We have only been at the school for 1 year but I’ve been impressed with the sense of community that students/parents and teachers bring. You get real sense that it is a team effort to provide optimal education for the kids. The teachers seem happy to be there and kids always seem engaged and motivated. I especially appreciate how diff grades/ages seem to know each other and treat one another. My child has learned a lot from time there. Wish I had found this school sooner.

I cannot recommend Cornerstone Academy enough. My daughter has been a student for the past 3 years and the education has far exceeded my expectations. I cannot believe how much learning & fun happens every day. The teachers are exceptional, and the curriculum is top notch. The school truly prepare the kids for a love of learning. The kids learn in a safe environment, there is no bullying, personalized learning plans are available, STEM, drama, gym and art are a few of the specials. Beautiful outdoor play space. If you are looking for an excellent PK-6 school for your child, this is a wonderful choice! This has been the best educational experience for our family. Highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with my 2 children's experience at Cornerstone. They have attended for the last 1.5 years, and I've seen how much they've grown from being shy and on the anxious side, to now as confident kids with a great group of friends. There is no bullying. The teachers are so caring, personalize learning to each individual kid, and make learning fun. The kids are excited to go to school in the morning.

My family absolutely loves Cornerstone. Our kids are in 2nd grade and K there. I always tell people, my kids go to the BEST red school tucked in the woods. It’s truly a peaceful, nurturing learning environment and I feel so good about dropping them there every day knowing they are well cared for and happily learning. They incorporate the outdoors and nature into their curriculum. I am always surprised with how much knowledge they come home with, and they seem to customize education plans to make sure every student is challenged. So impressed with their “shark tank” unit - how amazing to be teaching kids about entrepreneurship at young ages! Daily “DEAR” (drop everything and read) is another great way to make learning FUN. They treat students with respect and allow the freedom to pursue individual interests. They start the day with meditation and breathing exercises- actual coping mechanisms they can utilize throughout life. My kids actually ask me to stay at their “after care” program because they are having too much fun to go home. The class sizes are small, the ages mix well together, and they’ve already made lasting, meaningful friendships. The teachers are high energy and passionate about their careers, and clearly care about their students. They are quick to resolve any issues, handle situations appropriately, and are great at communicating with parents via email exactly what is being taught, and include pictures so we have things to talk about with our kids instead of just “how was school?” Visit here and see the magic of Cornerstone- it’s a hidden gem.

Our daughter attended Cornerstone Academy for a couple elementary years. She absolutely loved the school and the teachers. Even though it’s a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, thus allowing for their challenging academic curriculum at each grade level to cater to every child’s needs. The Teachers are very passionate about seeing their students succeed and gain confidence in their learning abilities. Our experience at Cornerstone was nothing but exceptional in every way and their holistic teaching approach challenged our daughter every single day to feed her “love of learning”. Fantastic Teaching and Community - Great School!

My daughter entered Cornerstone Academy's Pre-K program this year, and my wife and I are thrilled with the quality of the education she's receiving. Each child is allowed to move at their own pace, experiment, make mistakes, and take risks. Instead of asking students to adopt a fixed mental model of how things work, they're encouraged to ask questions and given time to think and explore their own learning patterns. You get the sense there's something special about Cornerstone just by peeking at its classrooms, which look nothing like a typical classroom, or at least those that I’m familiar with. Nature is used as a learning setting, where bridges to abstract concepts are created using common experiences and experiments, students work in collaboration surrounded by materials of their own creation, and music and art play a prominent role in their overall educational experience. I suppose the simplest way to put it is this: Cornerstone looks like "home," and that’s exactly how our daughter thinks of school -- a home away from home where she can learn and have fun with her extended family.

I have been sending my son to this school for more than a year now, and have seen tremendous improvements in him, in all areas. Teachers really excel in creating an environment for individual and original growth of each student. I highly recommend Cornerstone Academy, it’s a hidden gem!

"My daughter is in her second year at Cornerstone Academy in NOrthborough. I continue to be amazed at what this school offers. The academics are strong - kids graduate and go on to prestigious private high schools with ease. Because the class sizes are intentionally small, each child receives individual attention and can have the classroom lessons and homework tailored to fit their needs. Each child gets exactly what he/she needs. Social and emotional development come hand in hand with the rigorous academics at Cornerstone - the teachers are skilled at helping children develop the social skills needed to succeed. This school has it all!"

As a teacher I was very picky, when it came to picking a school for my son. I visited several schools and what I saw was, children monotonously working in workbooks. Due to my observation I wasn't satisfied with any schools and pondered on where I would enroll my son. At last I found a hidden gem, Cornerstone Academy. At Cornerstone there is a balance of hands on materials, games, and workbooks. They also have small class sizes; as a result the teacher can differentiate their lesson to reach every child. Children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore with the materials, and have a teacher as a guide not a lecturer. This is my son's first year at Cornerstone Academy and he loves every moment of it. One of his favorite things is the outdoor learning space. I was apprehensive about my child's transition to a new school since he is timid. To my surprise his transition was an easy one. I couldn't be happier with this school.

My son began attending Cornerstone Academy in the transitional kindergarten program and he is now in second grade. Cornerstone is a wonderful school with a very talented and dedicated teaching staff. My son enjoys going to school every day and he is thriving from the high quality education and care provided by the staff. It is very rewarding to witness the positive impact the school is having on my son's growth, development and confidence. I cannot imagine sending my son to any other school and I enthusiastically recommend Cornerstone Academy.

My son started in March of 2015 leaving a public classroom of total of 22 to a class of 10. The ratio of 1 to 10, is fantastic for children. The hands on learning, the interactive lessons that the children are involved with is amazing. The children are taught by devoted teachers that truly just want each child to reach their full potential. I highly recommend this school.

Great for the younger children, but the size hinders children once they reach a certain age. The 1st grade teacher is wonderful and really encourages the children to do their best.

We started at Cornerstone last year and were so impressed with the quality of teaching and nurturing environment that we eagerly started our second child this fall in the transitional kindergarten program. It is the perfect school for families looking for a school that truly prioritizes one-on-one teaching and developing well-rounded children. The children are kind and respectful, with all ages playing together during recess and special events. What better way for children to learn compassion than through peers and older students? We researched many private schools in the area, and live in an excellent public school district, but ultimately chose Cornerstone for the small classroom sizes and promise of individualized attention. The school has certainly exceeded our expectations. As parents, we love that the school has no bureaucracy, and that parents get to play an involved role through volunteering opportunities. The families are down-to-earth, generous, and gracious. Cornerstone is a truly a gem.

Both our son and daughter have been students at Cornerstone since Transitional K. They have been nurtured, loved and academically challenged daily. We have watched their confidence grow and they have developed true friendships. Both of our children are thriving and look forward to school each day. They are receiving the best possible beginning to their educations!

This is our daughter's first year at Cornerstone and we couldn't be happier. We pulled her out of public school because she wasn't being challenged and was very bored. At Cornerstone, she is given work that's appropriate for her abilities. Her teacher is nurturing and the other kids seem as engaged as our daughter is. Now she constantly tells us she loves school. The fact that this school is much less expensive than most other private schools in the area is icing on the cake!

After spending many years at another private school where the promise of an individualized education was never realized and our academically motivated child was never truly challenged we enrolled at Cornerstone. The difference in the quality of both our child's experience as well as our experience is a sharp contrast to our old school where we paid nearly 10k more in tuition. Our child is happy, challenged and engaged. I find the parent body free of political agenda. The director and her husband are passionate about what they do and it shows. The children are well behaved, respectful and it so refreshing to know our child is in a classroom of true peers with whom he can learn, share, and grow with. The teacher is Exceptional- fair in her dealings with all children, loving and nurturing all the while providing a solid, traditional academic experience through innovative and hands on means. No place is perfect as we (like so many) have considered every school within a reasonable commute- some even not so reasonable! In short, it is our opinion that cornerstone comes close and is heads and shoulders above the competition.

The principal yells at the kids and is very mean. She is a miser and never spends things for herself. She also gives low pay to staff which is why one of the teachers left the school.

Our fourth grader entered Cornerstone as a kindergarten student. After our daughter s first orientation meeting, we immediately knew that it was the right place for her to grow academically, emotionally and socially. Every year we are grateful for her experience. The Cornerstone teachers are gifted instructors who meet the needs of their students. Our daughter s teachers have consistently been dedicated to helping her perform to the best of her ability. Furthermore, we greatly attribute our daughter s self-confidence and appreciation for learning to her experience at the school. Cornerstone offers a wonderful mix of academic rigor and nurturing support for its students. Our daughter once shared with us that she considers her teachers and classmates as her extended family.
