DePaul Catholic HS offers excellent academic programs, and a wide array of athletic, spiritual, social & artistic experiences for every student. The administration, faculty & staff are dedicated to making each student's high school experience the very best that it can be. Each child is treated as a valuable member of the DePaul community and are encouraged in a challenging yet nurturing setting to set and reach goals both academic and extracurricular. Students feel safe & comfortable in the DePaul family like environment and parents enjoy peace of mind knowing that their child is both challenged and cared for.The administration is pursues ways to improve and advance DePaul Catholic always keeping it current and relevant on every level.

I am a student of De Paul Catholic and I thought that he school would be the best experience I've ever had in high school. Fortunately that was the case! It is such an awesome classes. The teachers are so respectful and fair. The only problem I have with the school is the price of the school lunch. If you are trying to decide if you want to send your children there you should, it is a great experience and worth the money.

These reviews are WRONG. We are all a family, and yes there are cliques as within ANY high school, but at the end of the day, coming together to be a part of the PIT for sports, or raising money for a family whose mother or father has been diagnosed with cancer, THOSE are the things that make DP great. As with any school, there are good and bad teachers. The new president is really looking to give DePaul a more prestigious name. Everything about this school is great and if someone tells you that they or their child didn't like it, then they didn't take advantage of it. No one liked going outside to go to class in the middle of winter, and the space wasn't necessary. And as for the food company- the food was gross. They got rid of it due to student complaints and bought their own food and rehired the same staff that the company had working there, paying them out of pocket. And they didn't close down one cafeteria to save money, they did it because the new schedule made it so that all of the students could fit in one cafeteria (the original split of cafeterias was because they couldn't all fit) so whoever wrote that is ignorant and should check their facts.

DePaul isn't that special. Realistically, it's a waste of money unless you have to get your child out of a violent school setting. Many teachers aren't even certified, then there are those who are certified but not in the field in which they are teaching (ask about those PE teachers, for example). Teachers do not attend annual teaching update classes and are decades behind public school teachers. The administration is mainly interested in how many kids they can get to keep their doors open (and a paycheck in their mailbox). The exception to that statement: Sister Jeanne. Their numbers continue to fall for many reasons, some of which I mentioned here. They've been cutting staff like never before, they closed one cafeteria, got rid of those ugly, rented trailer classrooms (to save rent) and got rid of the food service company to save money. Of course, the administration continues to get their wonderful salaries, at the expense of the teachers and students. Disgusting, immoral, and unethical. Go elsewhere.

Sent my two children to DePaul... and very glad I did. There are issues at ALL high schools, but when all is said and done... you will be glad...Very happy with most teachers, happy that values and morals are also taught..My children might of had mixed emotions about the school at age 16 and 17, but now at 22 and 24,,,I was so nice to hear them say,, thanks mom it was the best choice !!!.

DePaul has a mentality that students who do not fit in with the majority of other students are flawed in some way, and so the administration should take it upon themselves to correct the problem. In fact, they send several students to counseling every year for this reason. Unfortunately, this often does more harm than good, as not fitting in with high school students is often a sign of virtue opposed to a problem. A basic understanding of ethics and human history makes it clear that you should not stifle diversity. Good thing MLK, Ghandi, Jesus, and John Lennon did not attend a school with DePaul s mentality.

I you are not Vincentian or a strong athlete, please do not spend your money. These are the only students the school promotes.
