We are a military family and we have lived here 2 and half years. Our son has been going to the high school for a few months now and I honestly have no complaints. It is a wonderful school and the teachers seem to be really great they have emailed and reached out a lot. Our kids do play sports so we met a lot of people that way and we volunteer too. My son has really enjoyed football here its his passion again which fizzles out from time to time but the freshmen's are undefeated right now. Clubs and sports have really had our kids open up here since we aren't from here. We do think that the town has complainers here but we really have really enjoyed the teachers and they do not give out too much homework and when our son actually does his homework and classwork his gets really good grades. They have also made the students feel very accepted in every way and a little too much i think they just care a lot and want to show it. The are a very proud town with tailgates and hang outs and events. Our kids don't want to leave and that makes us feel good that they have been so happy here. If there are any issues involving your kid they will call and let you know and they handle all the issues so we were happy about that as well. Overall we are really pleased with the school so get your kids involved! We never let income stop our kids from enjoying school and no one should so yes people make a lot of money from here but i think there are a lot of great people and programs here because of that. Have fun!

The people here categorize themselves as the "rich" or "not rich" and if your not rich they hate you, and if you are rich they love you. Also all of the girls are brats, they only care about rich people, and being mean to others. They always put themselves first, and its always about being more skinny than others or who can wear more lulu lemon than someone else, and if you dont fit in, your not welcome. Also fix your drug problem.

Not really well always get picked on because of my skin color and also that this school treat students of different race differently and also once you get to this school you are put into a rich or not rich category. and on top of it this school has a huge vaping problem and with drugs and that they aren't really accepting of people of color.

Phenomenal. I had two students in this high school, one with Special Needs and one without who was not an athlete. Both were extremely successful due in most part to understanding counselors, incredible teachers and caring staff and management. By far the beast high school experience of my five children as obtained at this school.

The school pressures students to conform, heavily favors sports over academics, test scores over learning, and sweeps problems under the rug to make sure the school looks good on paper.

I have lived in Waunakee for many years and have two children that have gone through the Waunakee schools. The high school has many top notch teachers and leaders. The curriculum is appropriately challenging. Here is my one complaint. The emphasis on football and sports made it very difficult for my non-athletic child to do well at this school. If your child feels, acts or looks in any way, 'different" from the mainstream students, or has mental health issues, this might not be the right school for him or her.
